Oh, I knew there was something else behind that M1.

I bought you a pint once too. Do I qualify? Maybe Tom Bonner might be my assistant?
Re: New Manager
You best stick with your three Ukrainian Rent boys Slighty!!
Re: New Manager
Personally would like to see Sam Cox as new DFC manager, he had an exceptional Football team at Wealdstone, played some of the best Football I have seen for years at non league level.
But would be plsd with Neil Smith, Jamie Day or a Ben Greenhaulgh, although I think he has comitted to Margate.
Feel we need a young guy on the way up ! If possible.

Now that’s a shout I can get behind. Although I feel he’ll definitely be Dagenham bound.Harry wrote: Sat May 02, 2026 11:59 am Personally would like to see Sam Cox as new DFC manager, he had an exceptional Football team at Wealdstone, played some of the best Football I have seen for years at non league level.

Re: New Manager
Ben had to be committed to stay at Margate..
Re: New Manager
A young guy on the way up, someone who knows the club or someone not managed at this level or a club of our size. I just don’t get this. Why would we not seek the best available who’s been there, seen it done it, and like someone else alluded to could possibly be a bit of an arse. Then see if the payers are poncing about passing round pound coins rather than giving a s*** for the badge and the fans.

Re: New Manager
It seems like a very slow process, which indicates that the board are still undecided on the new manager. I don’t want to see another old dinosaur at the helm or equally a manager who has spent a few seasons at the same club without success.
The CV should show a manager who has won league promotions at this or the next level up.

Billy Holland, who has just stepped down as manager of Waltham Abbey after four years in charge, could be a contender. He took Waltham Abbey to the play off's in each of the past three seasons.

He’s already been announced as the new Enfield Town managerThe Futures White wrote: Mon May 04, 2026 2:07 pm Billy Holland, who has just stepped down as manager of Waltham Abbey after four years in charge, could be a contender. Jamie Coyle has signed a 2 year extension at Whitstable
Re: New Manager
Imho...we may have a struggle to find an experienced
manager..
To me , the Darts will be unlikely be able to compete with the clubs that have money men in charge..
We have to get out of this Ryman league but our 2nd place finish 2 seasons ago and the fact that we only finished 6th this campaign is very dissapointing .
There will probably be 2 or 3 clubs with money men backing them next season.
Our one man one vote system is admirable but I just can't see us getting promotion with our present set up
But if the fans are happy with us plodding along in the Ryman league then let's leave things as they are!

Re: New Manager
I do think we will struggle regardless of whatever manager comes in but considering the style of play we’ve got used to seeing (very boring in my opinion) I’d hope we can get someone who at least has a style of football we can enjoy watching again

It’s a fair point. I don’t believe most fans are happy plodding along but definitely some. I could say the same for the board too.

So is Curbs
Re: New Manager
Be nice to hear from the board regards a new manager?
Hemel lost their manager and replaced him very quickly,
Enfield have replaced their manager
Dagenham have replced their manager
Slough have named their new manager
Im sure there are more, but we have not heard athing from the board regards how getting the replacement is going,
I feel we will be left behind with requirement of players if it is not sorted soon, I hope the board are talking to the players we had last season.
