I can understand why our board are so keen to run the the club differently from the pre 1992 set up at Watling Street when DFC lost everything and folded.

But this present set up is entirely different because unlike the pre1992 DFC
WE DONT OWN THE GROIND ... whist Watling street was worth a fortune to developers and is now full of houses.

WE need serious investment if we are going to get back to the good old days .
A lot of us older supporters can only see us plodding along in this boys league because of what happened in 1992.
We have a great stadium for this level of football .with excellent facilities.
We have over 1000 fans every game.
Plenty of parking and we are on the bus route.
but IMHO if we don't bring in some serious investment from then I can only see our gates gradually dropping to a few hundred die hards.
Tin hat on but that is how I see it!!

Really disappointed with this result I don't see many games in a season but the one's that I have seen I've been really impressed with our performances. So, to see this result was a big let down. I can not see Ade's reasoning for putting in the new loanee's when we had Olly, Eddie and Luther on the bench. And as regards Michael starting when to be frank, he's hardly looked comfortable in any game this season. I know he's had his injuries but he's been out of sorts for a while.
It obviously has put a spoke in a wobbly wheel. With game's called off since being outplayed by a really good side against Brentwood, it was hardly good preparation, albeit, against the bottom club. I had a feeling something could happen, drop points, yes. But this. No offence to PB, but if we are looking to getting into the play-off's then this shouldn't have been happening.
Not the end of our season, just a tad harder, that's all.
I won't comment on the managerial situation. But if we do decide at this time I can't see it helping the situation.
Next weekend's game has suddenly upped the importance of it all.

Rambo, during the Brentwood game near the end I said to Matt (The 5th Searcher) reminds me of The Animals "We 've Gotta Get Out Of This Place"
and we did and missed the extra time winner.
After yesterdays result it's a case of "Don't Bring Me Down" (For you younger fans another Animals 60's hit sorry my favourite band) :(

The goal we conceded yesterday. Can’t believe we played 20 mins with such a big gap down one side of the pitch. Miracle Potters Bar only scored one.

Yes it was a gamble to rest our top scorers when we struggle against a low block and it didn’t pay off. Absolutely manager’s responsibility.

Still, I don’t think it makes practical sense to get rid of Ade at this point. Once we way pay out for ending his contract it would have to be an internal hire, which you only really do if you’re desperate (ie relegation battle) or if it’s a rebuild. We know that we can show up for the big games, so IF we manage top 5 then I’d rather have Ade in the dugout. If we don’t, then I’d agree with a change.

We gave the Ball away in Midfield, careless and clueless.

We are still in with a reasonable playoff chance, with games in hand, but agree it is not a good sign we lost against the team that were bottom of the table yesterday.

Only thing I can say is that we must get into those play offs, anything else is failure.

Last year Dover were so inconsistent, but came good when it mattered, and now sit reasonably comfortably, in the league above.

I can't see how Eddie, and Olly can't be starting, unless they are injured. Maybe, Ade thought he would rest them, who knows.

😂😂 loved 60s music Trevor and one of my favourite all time musicians is Chris Farlowe who still performs and is just as a good a singer now as he was then.
Did you know he was number One in the charts with Out Of Time when we won the World Cup in 1966. I now wonder if DFC are running out of time to be a good football club again.

Fair point - I guess I was more thinking that playing the team that’s bottom would be a good opportunity to try out the new trialists, give squad players some game time, etc.

But only if we still beat them

I know the song well it is my wife's favourite and we have seen Chris several times at 60's week-ends around the country :)
He only tends to do 30 minutes these days due to his health but as you say as good today as back in the 60's and just needs his favourite drink on stage ready for him to start singing. :)
I hope to see you at a game soon

Hopefully see you on Saturday for another nervy game .
Reminds on Liverpool Street station last summer I bumped into Chris Farlowe so I thought must talk. He was very happy to chat and I spent five minutes with the genius chatting about his music and career. A lovely man

Stop making bad choices Ade. You wasted your time by switching back to three centre half’s and that ultimately was the reason we lost. You would also do well in picking the correct 11 and stop selecting on hunches

Fails to take the blame yet again.
Moans about not testing the keeper enough but continually starts with Callum and puts the two top scorers on the bench.

Would love to know if anyone on the board actually sees Ady as the man to take the club forward long term.
If the answer is no, then why are they wasting time prolonging this.
We went into the playoffs last year in poor form and found ourselves lucky to even make the final.
This season seems to be 1 step forward 3 steps back. Inconsistency, poor discipline and questionable recruitment leave us outside the play offs with many teams around us in better form.

The recruitment over the summer was dire.
Frempah - barely given a solid run and loaned out
Eze - below standard and loaned out
Macleod - arrived with a record of injuries, got injured and loaned out
Micheal - made captain to many people’s surprise; has been injured or suspended for the majority.
Sam smith - out on loan despite us having no left back on Saturday

The persistence of giving Callum 90 mins every week when it’s clear to everyone he’s nowhere near the levels of last season.
Have Eddie and Olly ever been given a run up top together or playing either side of Dan Smith?

Massive few weeks ahead now.
