With things hotting up in the run in for the end of season play offs, a win next weekend is a must.
Seeing Billericay take over the 5th play off spot with an emphatic 5-0 trouncing at Potters Bar yesterday, can anyone, hand on heart, see us going there and doing the same?
I for one can maybe see us scratching a win with the way we are playing. Also with players being suspended in the games ahead we could find us missing vital players in vital games.
With the inconsistency in form and now Riccay breaking into the play off positions I can honestly say we look also rans at this time.
If we win ugly and maintain the 5th spot, we have to do it for 12 game's. That's a big ask.

I’ve resigned myself to becoming a massive case of ‘whatever’ this season. Play offs? Could do. Should do. Win them by a lottery miracle? Doubtful. Even if we do return to NLS, the gulf has widened and is getting wider by each year.

I disagree that the gulf is getting wider. I actually think the quality is not that different between the ILP and NLS. If there were a gulf, we’d see a lot more yo-yo teams like between NLS and NL

Maybe. But some are just rifling through onwards and upwards. Many others, previously below us, have overtaken us and marched on. That’s what I base my judgement on.

Completely agree, and Tbf that’s not just an opinion, if you look at the detail it’s a fact.

Good luck to the lads today, can't see a big win today and certainly not a comfortable one. But a win is vital.

Bumped into Eddie in the car park where he said he wasn’t starting and when asked if he was fit, he said he had been ready for a couple of weeks

Yes… teams being successful after getting promotion means that there isn’t as much of a difference in quality.

Quite surprised by this lineup, big lack of pace at the back.

Bland/Carter Left wing back?

Back to 3 at the back.

No Whitefield or Samir. Box dropped?

George is suspended I believe.

Not sure I would have been dropping our top scorer either.
Eddie also deserves a start and now falls further behind a loan signing.

only if you think teams progressing dont improve the quality of some of their players and squad as they go up the league table and into other leagues.
They don’t progress with exactly the same players as the years before do they?

If we fail to make the playoffs it will be because of decisions like this and let's face it anything other that the playoffs will be deemed as failure. This is a must win game today especially as Billericay have won their last 6 games on a spin. COYD

Leaving Eddie out of the start is criminal. And a massive kick in the teeth for the poor bloke. It’s Vallie Day Ade, show some love to the fella. We do!! ❤️

1 nil.
In all honesty it could have been 3 already if it wasn't for Henley
