Difficult to take yet another play off disappointment, but being as objective as possible I think the better team won out today. We created very little from open play but credit to Dover who defended very solidly and always looked dangerous on the break.

Pete, thanks for the heads up regarding the Clubbertv auto renewal subscription. I hadn’t noticed that when I signed up for the CV game on a 7 day deal, so I’ll make sure to check that out after the Dover game. It was a decent price for 2 games though.

Started the game on the front foot with a good pressing game, against a Bognor side which preferred to play from the back. An early goal, from a well worked free kick, was a good return for the first half where we were the better side and could have gone in 2 up were it not for a couple of efforts ...

Credit to Ady, as well as the players, for turning the match around. We came out in the second half with a much greater focus on possession football. That, and the early substitutions, eventually did the trick as Horsham tired and began to lose their control on the match.

Make no mistake though ...

A very strong all round team performance yesterday, and as their manager admitted, we were better than Billericay in every department.

Potential MOTM winners from many of the players, and young Bullas in particular impressed, but I had to go with Callum Jones in the end for his 2nd half goal and ...

2-2 was probably a fair result in the end.

1st half, DFC by far the better team - lively, creating a few chances and defended soundly. 2-0 at the break reflected our dominance. Good goal from Olly Box after 15 mins or so - through ball that he finished well. He caused Chichester problems ...

Phew! Well done lads.

A VERY welcome 3 points. With other results going our way it does provide a little breathing space. Plenty of hard work still to do, but let's take today's result and enjoy it.

Oh well, so much for that plan!! Will Bass it is then.

More optimistic now that TB is in charge and beginning to re-shape the way we play. It could be a nail biting run over the next couple of months, but at least we seem to playing more positively and just as importantly there appears to be more belief ...

Deliberately left purchasing my National League TV subscription for tonight’s game until 6pm. Surely safe by then that the match would be on!!
Appalling that Truro could leave it this late and let the team travel all the way down.

Last night was my first match since the December home fixture against Billericay, when I thought we were pretty poor. Thankfully yesterday was a much better performance, and marks a book end comparison between the poor run we had at the end of 2021 and our recent turn around of form.
