My man at the game says good goal from them but against the run of play and we're still at it and not fading.

Let that one slip sadly.

Unbeaten run continues and another point away from home - were getting some good habits. Just need to sharpen up in front of goal.
Well done lads.

A decent game to watch and for the most part a good performance by the Darts. This wasn't a case of Darts taking their foot off the pedal like the Hashtag game, in fact we continued to press in the second half and Chichester's first goal came completely against the run of play. This sparked life into the home side and when they leveled it was squeaky bum time for a while before we regained our composure and might even have snatched it back again at the end. I felt our performance deserved better than a draw but at the end of the day, it's another game unbeaten and a decent result.

Shame to let a two goal lead slip away. I do still firmly believe we need an experienced, no nonsense defender and we could take this division by the scruff of the neck.
Still, it wasn't a defeat and we extend our unbeaten run.
Hopefully tighten up a bit at Hastings on Saturday.

A point gained? We were 2-0 up and cruising at HT
There is no ambition at this football club
Directors tweeting that we should be happy with where we are and to be patient and now Ady coming out with a point gained?
2 seasons ago we were a penalty shootout away from another National South playoff final. We're now happy to be sitting mid table in the Isthmian league, drawing against Chichester and hoping for a run of form to see us secure a playoff space at best. Our playoff record his horrendous why are we not pushing to try and win the league.
Look at Dover, setting the example how to rebuild and are sitting at the top of the league with only one thing in mind, win it and avoid the lottery of the playoffs.

2-2 was probably a fair result in the end.
1st half, DFC by far the better team - lively, creating a few chances and defended soundly. 2-0 at the break reflected our dominance. Good goal from Olly Box after 15 mins or so - through ball that he finished well. He caused Chichester problems throughout the game and got my MOTM award. Not sure why he has not been a regular starter until recently, but he really should be a first pick. 2nd was a Chichester own goal, but from a good cross - into the box and that area of uncertainty that the defender had to deal with but only helped the ball into the net.
2nd half started in similar fashion but Chichester pulled a goal back somewhat against the run of play and that gave them a spark. Thereafter they posed more of a threat, and although the equalizer was a good goal, it stemmed from one of our defenders slipping on the AstroTurf (not a fan of these surfaces).
In terms of quality, 6 league games now undefeated, but still feel we lack a cutting edge and could do with a decent winger rather than relying on wing backs.
All to play for though.

I was beginning to worry that we hadn't heard from Mark pre the Lewes game.
But we're back on track now. So all's good in the world.

Did they take a total new squad from scratch, no they didn’t they held some of the players from last year and brought in a few players to strengthen where they need.Mark Sweet wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 11:59 am A point gained? We were 2-0 up and cruising at HT

Unlike us that had to rebuild with a total new squad, not that was a bad thing, might have been three I might have kept!
If you are so dis-satisfied why do you bother even going to the games or commenting on the forum, because you are just becoming boring now!

You are what’s wrong with this forum.calling someone out who pays their money and uses their time and invests emotion but dares to have a different opinion to you.Undercover Elephant wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:09 pmDid they take a total new squad from scratch, no they didn’t they held some of the players from last year and brought in a few players to strengthen where they need.Mark Sweet wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 11:59 am A point gained? Saying why do you bother going is shameful from you.
Albeit a small one but also an added personal insult.
To be frank I think you should apologise, the only one who should think twice about commenting on the forum is you.
Re: Chichester City v Dartford Tue 26 Nov 2024
I take your point Kentc and with regard to Mark's recent comments, some would appear to be justifiable and valid. However, there are undoubtedly some things our club does well and some things it doesn't. It's fine for people to call out the things they are unhappy with, that's the whole point of the forum, but you would think that anyone who supports the club would at least once in a while have something positive or constructive to say. There are one or two who seem to revel in ripping into every aspect of our club and if an individual only ever posts negative stuff, often even before the kick-off, and never has a good word to say about anything, I can well understand why someone might ask them why they bother coming.
Like Mark, I worry that the club may be lacking ambition and I am disappointed that a promotion focused statement of intent has not been forthcoming as I would have thought getting back into the National League would have been our prime target and number one objective. Rightly or wrongly, the wishy washy information (or should I say lack of information) emanating from the club has given the impression that we are not too bothered about this. I'm not saying that heads should roll if we don't get promoted, merely that we should at least be committed to making it happen asap. Obviously, supporters recognise that rebuilding from scratch has put Ade at a massive disadvantage so I don't think most fans expected miracles, but I do think they were hoping for a sense of purpose coupled with steady progress on the pitch. Whilst the former appears to be lacking (at least, publicly), the latter does seem to be getting there as a 7 game unbeaten run does constitute a significant improvement on the pitch.
It's not all bad.
