Very fond memories of Pilot Field. A few of us were chatting with big Rob Haworth after the game outside the bar following our 1-3 win when James White came over and farted. Went into town after that for a few beers and game of crazy golf.
Caught the away bug around that time and started going regularly. Hard to believe that just three years later we would be playing host to (and beating) Newport County and Mansfield Town etc. in the Conference Premier.
Will be nice to revisit tomorrow, looking forward to it.

I remember going there on the coach I think it was the last game before the old Dartford went bust? Was a shocking feeling knowing I might not see the Darts play ever again! Bob Makin as manager and Simon (Baghdad Billy) up front? A certain Leo fortune West also played for us before a career in the football league both players were a pleasure to watch

I took the missus to Bexhill to a b&b and then on to Eastbourne for a long weekend. I forgot to mention that the Dart's were at Hastings for a league game which we dutifully won 2-1.
