Great first half in which we could have had 4 or 5 goals and then an awkward 20 minutes for the second in which only a great save from Jonny stopped them from equalising. Good performances all over the pitch. If we had played that first half last Saturday we would have gone in at Folkestone at half time 4 up.
I have thought that Michael has been off the pace just lately but his last two games have been really good. Someone behind me was questioning Ade's substitutions yesterday but towards the end of the game he was sticking on his subs for obvious reasons and the subs all added to the game.

First half we could easily have got a couple more, they did have a couple of chances but a good 45 mins from us and thoroughly deserved the HT lead.
I have no idea what happened at HT because for the first 20 mins of the second half we were on the back foot and if it weren't for a great save from Jonny, they would have equalised. But once the third went in the tension eased and we ran out comfortable winners.

MOTM - Dan Smith

Does anyone know the 50/50 result?

Dunno mate. And I’ve no idea why they call it 50/50! I’ve never won the darned thing. I’d say it’s more 250/1!!

In the 1st half I thought Lewes were one of the worst team I have seen all season, their defence was
a shambles, as others have said we could have had 4 or 5 but for some last grasp clearances and blocks.
My main worry at half time was that we would start coasting and that is exactly what happened for 20 minutes
we let them play and going forward they were half decent and it was a matter of time before they scored. At
2 -1 they started to believe they could get something from the game but thankfully our 3rd goal killed them off.
Very pleased with the result but again concerned that we relaxed and let them back into the game, need to keep
at it for 90 minutes.

Funny old game this one !
Agree with much of what others have said.
Thought DFC had the rub of the green today.
Lewes improved after they subbed their annoying and mouthy 14 but not enough to equalize…
Looking forward to next week v Hashtag…buy your tickets in advance as there’s a deal on for £5 off…

Also I think they play similarly to Chichester in playing the ball along the back involving their keeper quite a bit.
When we were struggling early second half the keeper was almost on the edge of the semi circle.at times.
I found it a bit boring at times to watch as I did against Chichester but then we beat them at home too.

Despite the dodgy 20 minute second half spell, Darts were much the better side overall and thoroughly deserved the win. Having said that, if Henley hadn't made the wonder save at 2-1, I feel we may even have ended up losing, by such small margins are games won and lost. As it stands we still have hope and the team have done a great job over the last 3 games. All we can do is keep the pressure on the teams above us.
