I think he was showing solidarity with his forwards. He actually threw it at me. I was standing on the touchline in line with the penalty area.

No mate, I caught the bottle. An almost empty red lucozade. Unless it happened twice.Jonty wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 7:21 pmYou must have been standing in front of Parklife as I think it was aimed at him.KentC wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 5:53 pmJonty wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 4:43 pm For the second home game running I witnessed young supporters being turned away from the turnstile. I could understand this if they were the Peaky Blinder looking type draped in Burberry but these were just a few young 10-12 year olds looking for a footy fix. I spoke with Spike about this at our last home game and he said they got turned away at the away end and the stewards radioed the other end instructing them not to let them in. This is another generation of young supporters that we have lost and it really is sad to see. Someone from the club should have explained the process of how to gain access through free ticket program. Maybe, this is another topic to add to the meeting.
As for the game; this is why I never leave early as you never know. With Eddie coming on late, I always felt that we could nick a goal and so it proved. Like others have said, how can you leave a 20 plus goalscorer on the bench. Some of the decisions from Ady remind me of the sketch where Eric Morecambe says to Andre Previn "I'm playing all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order". Team selection, Substitutions & tactics are very old school, one dimensional and predictable, I just wish he would be a bit more positive.
I went with Johnny as my MoM in the end after reviewing the video, he has not had the best of starts but in the last few games he has put in some consistent performances. All in all it was a great game to watch and the finish to the game was the best of the season to date. Sadly, it was just a little too much for their player who threw the bottle into the crowd at the end of the game.
That bottle was at me, someone upset him?![]()

He was talking to the crowd after the final whistle, cupped my ears, shouted I can’t hear you and he threw it at me and I caught it, did they throw more? I’m not precious but it’s a terrible look for kids and families.

Needed a capable steward to have taken the evidence to the officials, with the player no. 3 reported.
It wouldn't have looked good on the club & supporters, if that was reversed!

Someone has posted clear footage of the bottle being thrown into the crowd by their No 3 on TikTok.KentC wrote: Sun Feb 01, 2026 11:26 am Seeing it closer up, boy did they miss some chances. And the keepers handling was top class. Disappointed they didn’t show the 3 (I think it was 3) throw a bottle deliberately straight at me. Good job I’m not precocious.
Someone from the crowd did throw an empty Coke bottle on the pitch just before that as well.

Don’t know if the same person posting also put the song over the top.

Yeh that was to the left of me towards the middle. Saw the bottled but not who threw it.

Another issue Trev B & I had on Saturday was trying to actually get out of the ground early.
We tried to leave with about 13 mins to go and walked to the car park end and asked a steward if the could open the gate to let us out to be told no we aren’t allowed to open this gate until fulltime you need to go to the next gate ( leading to the club shop).
Asked the steward there if he could let us out to be told no I’m not allowed to open this gate until fulltime in case anyone outside tries to get in

.
You have to go through the bar, down the stairs and out via reception.
It’s bloody crazy, the team are playing shit so the stewards try and lock you into the ground until the final whistle now. It’s not as though we asked him to fully open the gate, it was just so we could get out. PP is becoming more & more like a fortress but for all the wrong reasons.

Great result for the team and good performances all round - spoilt by too many unnecessary bookings and of course the sending off.
Johnny certainly silenced a few critics on that performance and made the KoL team of the week.
One small complaint - I am not a snowflake, but hearing some of the foul language from a few under-10 fans had me cringing. I can handle the F-bomb from adults but the same from young kids and the odd C-bomb was beyond it for me. I blame the parents!
Anyway, hopefully we can get a run going - starting with Ramsgate tomorrow.

Where I stand the F &C words are used by over 60's. Is it any wonder the under 10's are coming out with it. There's a guy behind me who does nothing but discuss his domestic life while the game is going on and then when the referee gets it wrong the dogs abuse towards him is foul. This is done at the top of his voice which probably wakes up his mate who's on the end of his washing machine tirade.
I once attended a game at Watling Street and while sitting in the main stand a chap put his radio on to listen to a local game (probably Gillingham) a chap at the other end of the Stand told him to ' shut that f*****g radio off, I'm watching the game'. If only.

Last night at the Fans Forum the DFC representative who liaises with the referee's association (sorry I don't know his name) confirmed that the video evidence had been passed to them and they were investigating the incident.Someone has posted clear footage of the bottle being thrown into the crowd by their No 3 on TikTok.

Did notice that at the final whistle, no.3 cheat was exchanging words with supporters of our Home end. An idiot of our own threw an empty plastic bottle, which ended up through the goal net.
It may have been that loser no.3 had lost his way and thought it was his Away fans... Not!
He then threw his plastic bottle at our supporters, with a team mate calling him away.
