But what is our answer to it, do we have one?

Good Win Had to hang on a bit once they scored. Thought the last 15 with Carruthers we held the Ball well mostly up their end. Their Defender Robbins, twice he went down like a sack of Potatoes and screaming when he released the Ball pretending he was caught late but no contact on both totally Embarrassing just out and out cheating.

If it's any consolation to Chatham it's that they played with a lot more flair and urgency than the champions elect. I hope they turn over Folkestone on Saturday.
Admittedly they do adopt same tactics of going down easy and screaming a lot, well, one particular player does anyway, but apart from that I rate them higher in terms of entertaining football.
MacArthur may cause Folkestone some problems, having said that, I feel it will be a cagey game completely devoid of any football as they cancel each other out.
Just a thought.

Will certainly be an interesting one, as you said it will either go two ways, it being a great match or cancelling each other out, really hope folkstone lose the game but just cant see it with the form they are in, either way we can only concentrate on ourselves and makes use we are in the playoffs come end of the season. Battle of the sugar daddy’s, I suppose the one with the biggest wad will win. Personally, I think these rich chairman and the arrival of 3G are killing the game at our level and are distorting their clubs natural level. Let’s face it, both clubs historically are poorly supported and have never been this high up in the pyramid and at least one of them will crash back down to earth once the investment is withdrawn. The fact that we can compete with these kind of clubs is testament to our academy and development of young players.
As for the game, their manager showed a lack of class by continually stepping outside his technical area and trying to wind up our supporters and had the linesman in his pocket. The foul on Ocoye late in the second half was shocking and went unpunished, me and Grassbank were in disbelief that the linesman gave nothing. It was therefore rewarding to see how our team finish the game strongly with the 3 substitutions, with big Sam being the standout player. I would like to see him in there more often. Over the 90 minutes I went with Luther as my MoM, he has been immense since he has come back.
On reflection, it’s the second and last time I will go to this stadium unless they put something in place for the away supporters. It was bordering on shambolic and how can they give that crowd out as 3000, it looked less than when we announce 1500 at our place. I guess that they will bring barely 50 odd when they visit us and I would like to see what happens if they try not to turn around at half time at our place. It probably won’t end up too well. Maybe someone could get hold of that annoying megaphone and shove it up that geezers backside.

Only thing I would say is it’s more impressive when you bring the crowds in and with you so regardless of anything else going on at Chatham fair play to them on that score! Least unlike our friends at Dulwich it appears that some of the large crowd actually watch the game!Jonty wrote: Mon Dec 29, 2025 11:42 am Battle of the sugar daddy’s, I suppose the one with the biggest wad will win. I watched our 2 goals and switched the highlites off. Absolute shambles of coverage, a club with their so called money and they can’t even get a decent camera to cover the game, they rely on those shitty VEO cameras which are so far away you might as well not bother.

To follow this up, Billericay have just announced the signing of Jon Benton from Boreham Wood, comfortably a step 1 playerRixsto wrote: Sun Dec 28, 2025 2:14 pm Just wanted to know, is there any plans for us going full time as it seems that now most teams in the nls are and it is now staring to filter down into our league, just wondering if there was any thoughts of this happening,
Im not a new fan have been watching the Darts for a while I remember when we was the best part time team in the country finishing I think 9th in the NL in our first season, and im sure there was talk of it then but nothing seemed to happen?
I just feel we are going to keep struggling when you have teams like Billericay, Chatham, and folkstone now paying big money, one of my mates is friends with a couple of the folkstone players and they are get £750 a week up, how do we compete with teams like that?
