DARTFORD v BRENTFORD South East Regional Premier League Sun 16th Nov, Ko 1pm Princes Park
Another huge game coming up with increased significance after coming away from our last league fixture empty handed. And it didn't help matters being denied a late equaliser which clearly crossed the line at Sutton United.
No doubt the wind changed at that point and Sutton's manager Lucy Clark has been wandering around with a permanently fixed grin like a Cheshire cat eversince.
Now we face rival title contenders Brentford after they opted to take the weekend off from this original fixture, following our splendid FA Cup victory over QPR.
Brentford apparently still have injury issues but they've given themselves the breathing space to do something about it. Rebecca Teale and Bo Taylor were recruited on dual registration from Lewes and Fulham respectively, in time to be thrown into the starting eleven for the Bees 7-1 demolition of Sevenoaks in last weekend's League Cup.
Bo Bo Bunny featured against us when Fulham finally fulfilled their fixtures at Princes Park at the end of last season. It was in the summer infact when everyone else was on their hols. But it was a great day for far more important reasons than playing the League champions. And although we won't be meeting them this season, I'm sure they are more than happy to loan their players out to their West London neighbours to play against us.

It'd be an attractive Premiership name, if there was room on our Fixture Boards and potentially increase footfall.
Still need to weather - watch for both men's and women's weekend games...

It's bit concerning with a financial disaster looming for me. I've got my coach tickets booked which are not refundable. But I still have to book a week in advance otherwise leave it until tomorrow and there'll be no seats available. My accommodation for Saturday night has been paid up front and the cancellation deadline expired today.Ring of fire wrote: Thu Nov 13, 2025 8:34 pm It'd be an attractive Premiership name, if there was room on our Fixture Boards and potentially increase footfall.

Right. Weather forecast for Dartford. 20% chance of rain for a few hours Saturday morning. And 20% chance between 11am to l pm Sunday. No excuses. Based on that information there should be no reason why the game shouldn't go ahead.

And if the club need help mopping up the pitch they need to shout out. I'd happily help out Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Re: DARTFORD v BRENTFORD South East Regional Premier League Sun 16th Nov, Ko 1pm Princes Park
I had hoped to watch this match but unfortunately my plans were changed on Sunday morning.
In view of the fantastic result that the ladies team achieved against Brentford, I am disappoinmted that there has not been a single post congratulating them on beating one of their major promotion rivals. We should be getting behind these great representatives of Dartford Football Club.
Next Sunday, this team is playing a big FA Cup tie. It is a match that they have a reasonable chance of winning. Jill and I watched the last round and enjoyed a competitive match between two sporting teams that played by the rules and played with a smile. It was a refreshing change to the way so many mens teams play these days.
I have a cross country race next Sunday morning, but plan to dash back in the hope of making the kick off, having picked up my better half first. Jill is also keen to see this next round. Our mens team are away next weekend and I strongly recommend that you head to Princes Park on Sunday lunch time for a footy fix, even if you travel and see the men play on Saturday. Come along and give the ladies a cheer. You may even be part of a record setting crowd for a home match.
I am sure you will not be disappointed by the football on offer and it may stir memories of how football was played before it was taken over by television and spolied by crazy salaries. These ladies play because they love football and it shows.
Good luck for Sunday. Come on you DARTS!

DARTS WOMEN BACK TO WINNING WAYS IN THE LEAGUE WITH 3-1 VICTORY AGAINST BRENTFORD FC WOMEN!
London and South East Regional Women’s Premier League, played on Sunday 16th, November 2025.
Report by Connor Brennan, and posted on Dartford FC Website by Gareth Morgan:
Darts Women were back on home soil following last weekend’s cup success, to take on promotion rivals Brentford FC Women in a huge top-of-the-table clash.
The game began tentatively with both sides struggling to gain the early advantage. The visitors had the first real clear-cut chance on goal midway through the first half. In the 17th minute, a free kick from Alissa Down forced a fine stop from Darts keeper Jade Charlton.
The home side began to grow in confidence as the first half went on and took the lead just after the half-hour mark. In the 31st minute, Georgie Davis did superbly well to keep the ball alive and the cross across the six-yard box found Xayla-Rae Alberts at the back post. The Darts captain headed home from close range to put the home side ahead.
The Darts doubled their lead seven minutes before the break. In the 38th minute, Lizzie Adams hit a strike from distance and the shot went over the keeper and into the roof of the net to make it 2-0 at half time.
The home side remained in the ascendancy as the second half began and goal number three came minutes after the restart. In the 48th minute, Abbey Davies crossed from the right, finding Georgie Davis free at the back post. The Darts defender headed home for the third goal of the afternoon for the home side.
Brentford got a goal back minutes later. In the 49th minute, a swift counter attack from the visitors saw the ball fall to Renai McCrea on the edge of the Darts box. A fine first time finish from the Brentford forward nestled into the bottom corner to give the visitors a lifeline.
The Darts tried to restore the three goal lead and went close to doing so in the 74th minute as a shot from Lizzie Adams flew past the keeper. The linesman flagged for offside in the build up and the goal was ruled out.
FT Dartford FC Women 3-1 Brentford FC Women.
A big three points for the Darts against promotion rivals Brentford FC Women. A huge thank you to all the fans for the support on Sunday. We will see you all back at Princes Park next weekend for the FA Cup Second Round tie against Keynsham Town LFC.

Re: DARTFORD v BRENTFORD South East Regional Premier League Sun 16th Nov, Ko 1pm Princes Park
I was going to file a match report this afternoon but Tony beat me to it. Thankfully. It was around 5 pm by the time I got to bed yesterday. I didn't get out of bed until midday today. After missing my coach post-Forest Green Rovers at 11.30 pm, after downing several glasses of wine in town following the match in the company of Gabby and Jade, I opted to deliberately stay out all night this time and take the bus leaving Victoria at 7.30 am yesterday. The plan was to spend the early hours downing a full English breakfast followed by several mugs of coffee in the Garden Cafe at New Covent Garden Market.
Unfortunately it wasn't where Google maps said it was. I found a clue when I checked out the most recent review on their website. Which was posted two years ago. Basically, I found myself wandering around the streets of Battersea or Bartersia, judging by all the luxury apartments that have gone up, like a wally at four in the morning looking for a cafe that no longer existed. And who in their right mind would pay all that money for an apartment overlooking a power station? Not exactly a sea view is it?
So, against official advice after reading it was considered dangerous to walk around the area at that time of night, I walked from Battersea to Victoria via Vauxhall Bridge just to run down the clock until Victoria Station opened. And I wasn't going to fork out more money in bus fares just because the government has admitted to losing control of London during the night. I did pass what I thought was a quirky little snack bar by the Thames. A wooden shack with a couple of tables and chairs outside, adorned with fairy lights. Then, trying not to inhale too heavily on the waft of hashish in the air, I saw the flags through the haze. It appeared to be a substation for Stand With Palestine HQ.
Starving hungry, I ended up with a rip off Americano and a rip off Blueberry muffin from the Cafe Nero outlet inside Victoria railway station. Then boarded the coach with a 1 hour change in Manchester at 12.30, where I spent the time in a more luxurious Nero's over coffee and a slice of carrot cake.
Eventually I arrived at Blackpool Beach coach station at 2.45 pm.
Time for another caffeine hit in The Compass Cafe and a chat with a lovely waitress named Kerry, who's Liverpool crazy and is hoping to see her first game at Anfield soon this season. By this time the adrenaline was kicking in after being overtired, having not slept since Saturday night.
I've done some research since the weekend too. The cafe I was looking for has reopened at a new location right in the heart of the flower market, some distance away from where it used to be. It's also operating under a new name. It's very original too. So now I'll be looking forward to an early breakfast in The New Covent Garden Cafe.
It's FA Cup weekend and we go again.
