Wingate and Finchley winning 3-0 at Dulwich. Can we lure their manager to PP?
Re: Billericay Town v Dartford Tue 11 Nov 2025
No fight at all. Billericay one of the worst we’ve played this season, but did hopefully teach us a lesson on how to see out a win. Once again I walk away surprised to see such a lack of quality in this league but then again there is a reason we’re sat inside the playoffs. Discipline is an issue, the ref was poor but imo both cards towards sam were warranted + Michael was lucky to not be sent off, although he possibly was after FT, someone was but didn’t see who.
In summary I think we’re very poor, in a very poor league. It wouldn’t shock me if we snuck a spot in the playoffs come the end of the season, or just missed out, but I do as a club think we should be a tad more ambitious than that. Out away form is atrocious and the only impressive team we faced at home walked away with 3 points deservedly. In the morning I may see this as reactionary but i’m just gutted to see such lack of fight and character, at 1-0 up with 11 men, with 10 men and even at 2-1 10vs10.

IMHO...
Taking Ollie off tonight, was when we lost it!
No pressure on them & no chance to getting back!
Didn't we need him at 10 v 10???

I have to admit that for the last two games i've been baffled by some decisions, especially the substitutions.
I was scratching my head Saturday wondering why we made the subs we did and especially how late we left them.
As for tonight, trust me Eddie should have started and after the sending off i think we made an absolute pigs ear of it.
We tried to see the first half out without making a sub and got caught very late, then we were all expecting Sam Smith to come on at HT and go LB with George switching to RB and sacrifice one of the forwards. But we didn't and from then on tactically i think we screwed it right up with players out of position when they didn't need to be. For periods of the second half Callum and Olly played wide midfield, Jacob RB, Sam Smith left and centre mid and to take Olly off when we were down to 10 men was baffling as he was surely our best option of grabbing something on the break.
So for most of the game we had the leagues two most prolific goalscorers off the pitch when we needed a goal.
It's a game of opinions and i've no doubt there will be some "reasons" given as to why these decisions were made, but i think all of our problems tonight were caused by ourselves.

At least Dulwich and wanderers lost aswell
Re: Billericay Town v Dartford Tue 11 Nov 2025
I hope that we did not pick up a second red card after the final whistle. Red cards during the match are proving to be a big problem this seaason. Sometimes they are due to poor decisions by refs and sometimes due to poor decisions by players. There is no explanation for a red card after the game has finished other than total lack of discipline.
Yet again we are facing selection issues for a match without taking injuries into consideration. We do not help ourselves.

I’m done. The club is drifting with no idea what to do now or next. A few years ago only Gillingham were a better Kent club. We are nothing now, I am very disappointed and down. I will see out this season and I doubt I will buy another season ticket. Next season I will probably visit occasionally

It's sad to see this club dying on its arse like it is. Such a great non-league side a few years ago and now just a total mess from top to bottom. Club keeps flirting with taking steps forward then inevitably slides back down and drifts further into the doldrums. I used to come to watch semi-regularly but these days I just can't bring myself to spend money and time to watch this dross. Will attend a game or two at the most now but it's become such a slog. Sure others are in the same boat as attendances now struggle to regularly get above 1,000. What once was a solid club now has massive cracks all over it.

Terrible shame people feel this way but who can blame them.

Keep the faith folks. We’re not doomed just yet. We should make the play offs with some serious attention to discipline. It’s a strange league with some bang average teams in it - and we’re one of them. Folkestone are gonna walk away with it so there’s little hope of competing for the title and watch Wingate and Finchley in the rear view mirror! But we’re miles away from where we were.
Personally, I’m done with midweek away travel. Not just because of the dross served up but you just can’t depend on sodding roads being open!
It’s that often used phrase ‘must win game’ coming up on Saturday! Lose that and I think we’re back to square one.

I agree SD we could make the playoffs but on numerous occasions we’ve been favourites in the playoffs and failed. If we do get in the playoffs we will be miles off as favourites so I can only see more end of season pain.Sleightly Deceptive wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 10:35 am Keep the faith folks. Well I have to admit when I made my first post on this game I said we had to bounce back from the defeat against W&F.
Mainly because I could see us sinking into the doldrums on here.
Before the last nights game had finished we were blaming discipline, awful substitutions and wanting the head of Ade . I was worried this would happen but blimey, not this quickly.
Two weeks ago it was buzzing on here because of the meteoric rise up the table.
Obviously some reasons for last night are called for but as said, teams around us also lost, so I'd take damage limitations. We are still not far off a play off position.
If we struggle and slip down the division I would understand it.
But blimey!! Supporters of all teams are somewhat fickle but give the management and players some space. We will be in the play offs still in April.e

Recent interview from Roland for me is very worrying. Thought we played the complete opposite of what he was saying and he mentioned when Sam got booked he could see what was going to happen, why not bring him off, get a natural Left back on (Sam Smith) and switch Whitefield to his more comfortable Right back position? Baffling

Can’t disagree with any of the above - I’m a life long Norwich City supporter too and whilst they are on the precipice of relegation to division 3 for only the 2nd time since 1971 which is a total tragedy it’s the Darts I’ve watched more over the last 50 odd years and this is killing me just as badly - football obviously has its ups and downs but 13 years ago the Darts were 3rd in the Conference and Norwich going brilliantly in the Premier League- saddens me so much to see where both clubs are now and going nowhere but down furtherLars Resort wrote: Wed Nov 12, 2025 12:34 pm Well I have to admit when I made my first post on this game I said we had to bounce back from the defeat against W&F.
