Let's hope the interrupted momentum continues after someone whispered in Brentford's ear, "Run!".
Prior to that, our girls have been on fire with two tremendous results against Saltdean United and Queens Park Rangers.
Amazingly Benfica are currently sitting bottom of the league behind Ebbsfleet, who've played 4 games less.
Can Benfica really be that bad? Well, they only lost 0-1 at home to Millwall Lionesses last week so are not to be taken lightly. First job, make sure we get the 3 points then concentrate on the goal difference. Dorking made hard work of it by also beating them by a single goal to nil. Brentford and Saltdean put 5 past them without reply, so there's the bench mark. While at the other end Sports are clearly in desperate need of a striker.

We cannot be complacent and think we only need to turn up. Every team needs to be treated with the utmost respect and not given an inch. They need the points as much as us. Should be a cracking game.

Darts Women were back in league action against Sport London E Benfica, following their progression in the FA Cup against QPR FC Women.

The home side began the game brightly and got ahead early in the first half. In the 11th minute, Leen Ekwo did superbly well to create a chance from nothing to get through on goal. The Darts forward with the simplest of passes across the box to find Shauni Griffiths in space, who fired home for the opening goal of the game.

The Darts continued to create the majority of opportunities in the first period and doubled the lead on the stroke of half time. In the fourth additional minute, Leen Ekwo fired an effort on goal from the edge of the box. The shot rifled into the top corner and the side were in control of the game at the break.

The visitors got a goal back early in the second half. In the 50th minute, a mistake within the Darts defence gave Benfica forward Natalia Debek a chance to get a goal back. Benfica’s forward went through on goal and poked the ball beyond Dartford keeper Jade Charlton, to give the visitors a lifeline.

This early setback triggered an instant response from the home side and the two goal cushion was restored 11 minutes later. In the 61st minute, a corner from the right from Abbey Davies found Amina Hanif in the six yard box. The Darts winger rose highest of all in the box to head home for the home side.

The Darts wrapped all three points midway through the second half with two goals in the space of three minutes. In the 67th minute, a corner from Abbey Davies was deflected into the goal by a Benfica defender. This was followed by a powerful strike from substitute Paris Smith in the 69th minute.

The sixth goal for the home side came in additional time. In the 91st minute, Paris Smith fired an effort from the edge of the box over the Benfica keeper and into the far corner of the net to cap off a fine second half for the Darts.
