So very tragic. And so avoidable. But it’s not the first incident and it sadly won’t be the last. If the issue was taken seriously then all games would be suspended until we could be sure that it won’t happen again. Of course, that won’t happen. A token review and no change. They need to keep the riff-raff off the pitch so walls and barriers will remain. Someone could easily bang their head on a Princes Park barrier. At the very least the pitches should be made smaller to increase the gap. But won’t happen. RIP fella.Pedro wrote: Fri Sep 26, 2025 5:17 pm FA statement today:
“Whilst the health & safety of participants & spectators at the National League System level is the responsibility of the clubs & their local authorities, we will now conduct an immediate review…that will focus on the safety of perimeter walls”.
So sad that such an incident should happen for the poor young player. Whilst it is right to do such a review and make all necessary changes for player safety etc, this could also place a burden of cost on clubs already struggling.

Welling bring back Rod Stringer as their interim manager, now that's brave or desperate !

Whether you like the guy or not, you cannot criticise his passion for the job. Plus, he has also won trophies as a manager!tommytollbooth wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 6:46 am Welling bring back Rod Stringer as their interim manager, now that's brave or desperate !

I would never criticise Rod Stringer's passion for football and the way things have been going for us at Dartford give him a chance at Princes park. Now that would be brave or desperate!
