Welcome aboard Dan.

Welcome to DFC Jonny, can’t remember your antics at PP against us that many seem to remember but who cares you now play for us and not against us.
At least that’s the keeper position sorted, well done Ady.

Re: Ady Signs New Contract & Player Updates
I remember his antics at PP, after retrieving the ball would then amble back to the 6 yard box to take the goal kick. Then he picked the ball up and walked to the other side of the box.
Okay Folkestone were 2 up at the time and fortunately his antics didn't work.
Hate that sort of thing especially as the official took no action at the time.
Having said all that he has pedigree as a decent keeper and no offence to Jacob has a decent kick on him.
Welcome Jonny, I think.
If Ade likes him so do I.

Re: Ady Signs New Contract & Player Updates
Let's be honest, we'd have been cheering those "antics" if he was playing for us and we'd been the ones who were 2-0 up.
I firmly believe it was that game where the title was lost, so he owes us big time, LOL.

Re: Ady Signs New Contract & Player Updates
I beg to differ Spike.
Jacob was slow getting the ball into play at times when we were winning. If Jonny started doing that with us 2up it would get right up my nose.
Keep the oppo on the rack, not slow it down.
I might enjoy it more if we were a goal up with 5 minutes to go but as we know Folkestone were doing it at the end of the first half.

Re: Ady Signs New Contract & Player Updates
Actually, now you come to mention it, I recall Folkestone were doing much better and were well on top of us until they stopped playing football and resorted to sh**housery. It was only then that we started to get on top.

True, they suddenly realised they could score goals if they played football and attacked.
Funny that.

Re: Ady Signs New Contract & Player Updates
If you look at the squad so far and the four sections (G/K, Defence, Midfield and Forwards) with the two new additions (welcome Dan & Jonny) it looks certain that Ady has improved the G/K and Forward options, so fingers crossed he can do the same with the Defence and Midfield. So far it looks very encouraging.
I also like the way Ady conducts business, no announcements of potential signings that never materialise or that we're talking to every Tom, Dick & Harry. He keeps everything under wraps and only announces it when they've signed, a mark of professionalism imo

I’m dreading us signing Declan Rice. The 5th Searcher wrote: Wed Jun 18, 2025 11:15 amOh dear JontyJonty wrote: Fri Jun 06, 2025 5:19 pm I was expecting a new keeper but this looks like another good addition to the squad. He’s gonna have a bit of difficulty getting into the side if Samir stays fit.

Shame we couldn't get hold of Jamie Yila from Chatham. He's gone to the sub standard side at Maidstone.
Re: Ady Signs New Contract & Player Updates
Ashdon Day has gone to Whitstable on permanent deal it seems.
