Billericay Town v Dartford - Tue 8 Oct 2024
Re: Billericay Town v Dartford - Tue 8 Oct 2024
Hopefully he has seen enough after given certain players a chance to improve . Sounds like a few will be shown the door and some more new faces will be coming in .

Looked like he'd locked himself away. Let's hope he's good at his word cos he's certainly got a job on his hands

When I saw the result I was very glad I couldnt make the game and had to work instead. Having seen the majority of games this year, we do have most of the play but at times we do look toothless and the defence looks a shambles. He is spot on in the interview and it does look as though it hurt him as much as it hurt us fans. I dont think he is the problem and you could bring in another manager and they'd be in the exact same situation he is. I think he is worth giving a chance, seeing who else he can bring in and go from there

Agree DH.
Ady inherited a really poor squad and had to assemeble a completely new one so it was pretty obvious that not every player would come up to scratch and at some stage he would need to make changes.
Now is that time and for people to call for his head now is ridiculous imo.
I've no doubt new players will be coming and if he gets that right we should turn the corner

The only thing Pennock inherited was a blank canvas.
Atleast he didn't have the unenviable task of telling players they didn't figure in his plans.
They all buggered off anyway.

An interview Dowse would have been hounded for.
Blaming the players despite them all being his signings.
Another woeful summer of recruitment. Is that budget or is it lack of contacts?
Either way, he has to look at himself before he looks at anyone else.
The interview gave me the impression he knows he may only have a few more games to turn this around.
Will be interesting to see who goes between now and Saturday.

It's silly asking for Ade's head. He's been against it since he came to the club.
It must be a headache but he's got two in since yesterday, a couple more may be enough to keep the wolves at bay for a while.

2 years ago we couldn’t put the youngsters in as we were going for promotion. Last year we couldn’t put them in as we hurtled towards and through the trapdoor to relegation. Any excuses as to why we can’t just play them this year? Can’t be worse than the last few weeks pitiful and frankly gutless displays?!?

I think one or two of last year's successful side have departed (Atkins to Margate for example) unsure on Naylor as we involved in the squad up until a few week's ago, maybe injured.
