FT 6-2
A win in the FA Cup........
Does this count as a cup run ????

Well Steve, at least we are up and running after so many seasons of disappointment. So, if we can make it through the next round as well, then most definitely continuing the Run.
Thanks for the updates and look forward to the post match comments. Just very pleased we have won an FA Cup game after so long. Thank you The Darts.

Thanks Kev for snapping all the goals and sharing them with us - as always. Much appreciated and enjoyed by us distant Darts, although the Marlow defence looked very poor.
Also thanks to Park Life for the updates in the absence of a commentary as a non-X user.
Nice to look forward to participating in a Cup draw again!

Big smiles on faces again at PP - loving it!
Good win against a side that could have posed us more problems than they did, on paper anyway!
Perhaps Olly’s best game of the season so far so gets my MoM vote.
Massive game next Saturday - bring it on!

Great job by AP and the boys.
Hoping for a continued cup run with some more money in the bank.

Great result. Bit disjointed in the first half but all sorted in the second half and some really good goals scored. Once Samir came on we looked pretty special.
Lapses in concentration allowed them back in the game 3-1 and 4-2 but we upped a gear and soon sorted that.
Olly motm for me showing speed and intelligence for his two goals

I thought the award of a penalty kick to them at 3-0 was generous to say the least but it gave them a lifeline, briefly, anyway.rambo wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:06 am Great result. Great stuff from the lads. Maybe lapses for the goals against but probably game was beyond Marlow at those two points.

A good performance yesterday although a bit iffy & nervy at times when conceding 2 silly goals.
Olly seemed a bit off his game up until our 1st goal constantly being knocked off the ball and not really taking the fullback on.
Once we scored he seemed to liven up a bit more and went on to score his 2 goals which he took well and deservedly won the MOTM.
A good FA Cup win which will hopefully lead onto a bit of a cup run but great to get a few more goals under our belts, pity it was a low crowd. I don’t think Marlow had any fans with them.

As i posted at HT, the first 35 mins was a bit scrappy but again we looked well organised and solid defensively. But once Eddie capitalised on a poor clearance to take the lead for the rest of the first half we took control.
Second half credit to Marlow as they kept battling away and as a result caused us a few problems, but when needed we stepped it up a gear and ran out very worthy winners. Second half we played some good football and scored a hatful of goals, it's been a long time since that's happened.
Lots of good performances all over the pitch and it's nice when all your forwards get on the scoresheet. The subs also played a big part in the result, Ben with his link up play and goals and Samir with his movement and short passes which linked everything up between defence and attack.
But for me MOTM was Olly Box, cream always rises to the top....

Ady will be enjoying his breakfast this morning as he saw a performance yesterday that epitimises his TEAM ethics and shows that he is on track for producing a really good TEAM , comments on the game have been said and Olly Box was rightly MOTM , again what a charachtor to bounce back after what for him for an average 30 mins , ALL the TEAM played well but pleased for Ben Allen who has been bit part larely but came on and got 2 goals , he has a great attitude that I like
Marlow not a very good side but I did like their flying right winger , could do with him , how for from Marlow to Dartford ????
Well done Darts , what a difference that a decent honest Manager and a TEAM that cares makes to a visit to PP !!!!

I agree Dukey , I was starting to lose interest last season because of some of the players attitude didn't seem right but I am pleasantly surprised at the new set up and am enjoying watching the Darts again.

Wasn't there yesterday but I am enjoying the football being played by an improving side.
Next two games will be harder venues, which says a lot for the French. If we get points from both games I will be happy.
Ade and Roland have a great little squad who are beginning to tick.
I looking to be at Dover next week.

Isn’t the next round in two weeks, in which case I am guessing Ricky will be off?
