Does anyone have any info on Lee Noble's injury. A couple of people mentioned yesterday that they had heard that Lee has a long term injury and could miss most of the season. I hope that they were misinformed!

SK also said we need to defend as a team not just back line.

If that is the case that will mean both the players around whom the midfield was going to be based after EB's retirement will miss the majority of the season.

Do we know anything about Wynter's injury? At one time it was said he might need a scan.

Stood with a Kingstonian supporting mate, first half.
A few observations from the opposite end of the ground of the dire first half.

Early doors Smithy pulls off a worldly, that was going into the top corner.
From the resulting corner, he punches with two hands straight up in the air. Catch it!
The first goal, we make a decent block. The ball goes a long way up, the lad swings a boot at it, it flies into the bottom corner.

The 2nd goal!
I’ve read some posters put that down to Gibbons.
For me, Wanadio floats an unnecessary ball 40 yards across from left to right and nobody tells Gibbons ‘Man on!’
The break is on from there, but they still seemed to have too much time. We need to get back quicker.

For me the biggest sin of the first half was the freekick.
Smithy wants 3, we take an eternity to wander over then give him 4(?)
He was screaming at the wall to move to their left, but no-one is facing the keeper to listen to his instructions.
Sure enough, the freekick goes to the walls left.

He has to go full length to deal with it, but surely if the wall is in place, he can take a step further away in the knowledge the wall has that covered!

The penalty, yeah Gibbons sticks out an inviting leg and the lad makes sure he goes over on it!

1 obvious thing from Saturday

We are going to play out from the back
Not sure Smith went long with a single goalkick.

But that is a waste of time if he passes short to Hill\Vint and then they go long!
Smith will hit the ball as far as they do, from 10 yards in front of Smith.
But our defensive line can be 30 yards further up the pitch!

We are definitely in transition, but I’m confident it will improve

We were poor in first half. The amount of space they had for their second goal was criminal. Their guy had the freedom of the penalty area it was unreal. What are these defenders watching.
We did a little long ball at times, we have small forwards and it didn’t work. Please mr king no more.
When we played it on the floor we looked good. It must be said they played well also at times had lots of possession.
Some really, really poor performances from quite a few. King has a big job on his hands here. We can brush over it or spin it any way you like, too many of our players are simply not good enough.

Seen a few less than positive comments on kings first game.
Remember this....
the board appointed the previous two managers. That was a huge mistake just to keep it in the DFC family. The board decided to keep them on this season and even announced they have a bit of money too spend. An odd thing to tell potential selling parties.
This mess is because of the previous two managers and the boards horrendous decisions.
King left welling at the end of last season and was available.
King has got to clear up all this mess that was created before him and it will take time and I beleieve he will.

We must support this man and realise it’s not going to change over night but for me he is the right man to bring this club forward...finally

I agree , our opponents deserved to win
But in the 1st half we were pathetic!
King's record is impressive and I am confident
that he will bring success but some of our players
were not at the races and left themselves too
much to do in the 2nd half.
Our loyal fans deserve better!

Steve King has no trouble getting the cheque book and signing cheques for players.
The problem will be is when the club say no to him when he wants to sign certain players.
