It was a much needed 3 points and for the time being that is all that counts. Whatever way you look at some of our new players, there are only possibly three that I would keep and that is stretching it. I still think that the managers need 2 forwards, another winger and a fullback. As Duke rightly says "we can't paper over the cracks". I will be very surprised if we get anything on Saturday, even with an out of sorts St. Albans. For now, I will keep looking in on a daily basis in hope of us releasing players in order to get someone decent in.
Just a word about Ben, I have always rated him, even when he left Maidstone and had we had him last season we would have walked the division.

[quote="Rambo"]Much better today, the determination and effort was evident, as far as I could tell this was down to noble and Elliot. Of the new players driver was very good greenhalgh was promising and oneyga tried very hard. Unfortunately phillpot is way off what is required but he does look very young. I thought when Sam York came on he battled well but he is never going to run past anyone so he needs to be in the box with the ball played to him directly and if he is further back advantage should be taken of his hold up abilities.
I think the defence especially vint played too many long balls
My moth goes to noble[/quote

My first league game and thought this is the worst darts team for a long time. Only Nobes. Bradders, Tom B, Ronny and Deren were worth their places. The rest were average at best. I wasn`t impressed with Ben, although some seem to be. Having said that, I was still pleased to see a win.
