I wouldn't argue with that, now if we can find a Merlin as well....

Nice goal from Jamie Philpott helped by the excellent cross from Ben Greenhalgh. Although we were not particularly convincing, once that first goal went in we never really looked in any danger of not winning even though we had fizzled out a little before the two subs came on and injected some life into our efforts. It was good to see Ryno get some pitch time, I was beginning to wonder why we'd bothered re-signing him. Jamie worked his socks off up front today, but didn't get any help from Phil Roberts who was unbelievably static and looked a mile off the pace. Maybe he's a bit rusty, I don't know, but I hope he's a much better player than we saw today. The game was a lot more exciting after the subs came on and it was fitting that Lee Noble got his goal. MOTM between Lee and Ben, but I'm going for Ben by a whisker.

I see one of our listed subs today was Driver. Is that Callum Driver back from wherever he's been - injured, on loan?

We’ve had one the last 4 or 5 seasons in Captain Marvel (EB), unfortunately he now seems to spend most of his time either on the bench or not playing at all.

Hungerford twitter not happy with the ref. in general, but mainly for letting play go on when they had a player down with a head injury &when we went on to score our second. I didn't see what happened & didn't realise someone was down until the restart was delayed.
Don't they know that the officials are always against us.
How the rest of the season goes is anyone's guess, but we do seem to be improving, not in a smooth upward curve, but progressing.
I wonder what players will still be with us after 1st Jan., especially those on loan. Thankfully I think Bailey is here for the duration but not sure about the others.
Strong backing for the managers by Steve Irving in today's programme. I am still not a fan of joint managers, but would naturally be very happy for them to succeed to allay my doubts.

Just about done enough imo.
Hungerford are better than a bottom 3 side
Philpot scored a good goal and Lee deserved
To get on the scoresheet.
3 useful points but we will need to perform better against
welling at their place.

As far as I know, Driver has been injured just before this game: St Albans City v Dartford Sat 1 Sep 2018
