Darts v Hungerford (Sat 22nd Dec 3pm)

Post by spike »

With only one game to play before Christmas, lets get the match thread started.

Hungerford are currently 3rd from bottom and have won only 4 matches all season. The 4th win came last week when they beat Chippenham 2-1, but prior to that they had taken only 1 point from the previous 18. Like ourselves, they struggle to score goals but thankfully for us, they would seem to be much better at letting them in. Having analysed all the data and taken everything into account ... I haven't the faintest idea what team we'll pick, how we'll play or what the score will be.

At least this season is unpredictable. COYD

One thing is for sure - it’s win or lose on the booze as Saturday’s afters is my Christmas party this year. This season has been disparate and weird so far with a couple of good points and lots to leave us scratching our heads, so I’m danged if one more unfavourable result is going to sully the spirit. I hope it’s a good turnout and am looking forward to the magician / stripper / comedian / contortionist. Was disappointed to hear that Horace had her sex change reversed but impressive to hear the act is still going strong at 96. Should be a blast.

That was well covered Spike. Fortunately I'm at the In-laws in Leicester next weekend. For once I can count my lucky stars.
Up the Darts. I will predict a 2-0 win. Anything less and the whole set up needs a kick up the arse.
I will say no more but, Merry Christmas to all on here, and a Happy New Year.
Once again, Up the Darts. May go and see Nuneaton struggle, if they are at home.

We need 3 points because the 2 games against the bus stop team will be tough.
So for me any sort of win will do.

Just looked for the betting for Saturday’s game and our game is missing.

Here's hoping for an early Christmas present and the start of a good points return over the holiday period. More importantly Merry Christmas to everyone in the Darts family, best wishes to all.

Something tells me the atmosphere is going to leave a little to be desired today, given the underwhelming lack of anything going on here. We could do with a fillip ahead of our game at Bus Stop FC on Boxing Day. I hope Adam and Jamie's team selection meets with general approval since most of our disappointing results have begun with puzzling line-ups.
Fingers crossed for a decent, entertaining game.
