Excellent post match interview from Steve King, his calm and measured approach (at least on the DFCTV post match) is very good.
He clearly recognizes the issues and frustrations we have in terms of scoring goals, I am sure a winning sequence is not too far away if the season continues!

I agree to a point but does he recognise the issue? Like other posters have said I am not sure the strikers are necessarily getting the service so is it more to do with the shape of the side maybe?

It’s not right. In fact it’s very wrong. It’s a painful watch and we’re going down the table.
However, does anyone honestly not think king is the best person to get this turned round.
He is a top manager and right now it is going wrong. It happens, it sucks but if there was anyone I believe will sort this out then it’s kingy.
Yes it’s mainly his players but he has a quality that most managers don’t, he seems to not hide the problems we have with some clap trap excuse to defend his team and worry about how he looks. His only concern is to put it right.
It’s not happening right now but I’m convinced it will.
This guy is a brilliant manager, please remember this.

I don't think there is anybody on here that isn't 100% behind Kingy.

Just had time to watch Steve's interview and the highlights, really enjoy his match analysis and honest opinions and didn't realise at the time how good those penalty shouts were. We got a bit lucky Saturday with Connor's non red card but other than that we do seem to have had more than our fair share of poor decisions this season.

Some are saying we aren't creating enough chances yet after every game the general opinion is if only we'd taken our chances :) :)
I reckon it's a bit of both but would lean more to the "not taking them" camp. If we can start putting a few of them away and get our noses in front for a change the whole complexion of the game changes.

It's a bit like making a cake, we have a lot of good ingredients but we're just trying to get the icing and cherry on top sorted. No worries though as we have the Bake Off King to sort it out :D :D

I have a bad feeling though that all the fantastic efforts by the club, supporters association, players, Steve and his backroom staff will count for nothing in the next few weeks. Really hope I'm wrong as i firmly believe we will (would have) been right in the mix at the end.

I think it’s more a case of the strikers not getting the proper service. We really don’t seem to have any proper out & out wingers who will run at the opposition and get decent crosses in to the box. N’Ghoul just doesn’t do it for me at all, he’s like a headless chicken that runs one way then cuts back, falls over & loses possession. He’s had ample chances to get a decent cross in to the box but cuts back instead, his free kicks don’t clear the wall and his corners are either over hit or don’t beat the 1st man.
Marsh-Brown has hardly played at all but when he has he’s done nothing at all, another who seems to fall over a lot. I wish he would start showing some of his pre season performances as he was excellent then. I thought he could be our danger man this season but he’s just not shown it when in league games.
Modest looked reasonably dangerous within the first 15 minutes Tuesday but then disappeared until subbed, albeit his first game back after a very long lay off.

Even our two new fall backs don’t get forward at all and if they do they either don’t cross or they cut back.
We need players who will run at the opposition and cross balls in to the box, a Ryan Hayes type player which we seriously lack at the moment.

We have some bloody good strikers in our team but they need to make their chances count as well when they get them. Charlie should’ve scored when 1 on 1 Tuesday but instead tried to lob a keeper who was right in front of him.

We just aren’t playing as a team at the moment, more like a bunch of individuals. I’m certain Kingy will turn them around, I just hope it’s sooner rather than later before it’s to late.

It does seem to me that oppositions are defending in numbers and very deep. Didn't think Eastbourne were particularly good, but when teams do break, they do have a lot of space to attack into, and are sneaking their chances on the break. We Darts are just not breaking down packed defences and even though we are going some chances, I think the feeling is we are not creating clear cut chances. Although players can be guilty of misplaced passes, I am not going to criticise that at our level cos I am seeing too many similar errors in the Premiership games from players costing millions. Nevertheless, with the players we have, we should be getting more balls into the box than we are. NGhoul has all the ball control, but as others say, he comes backwards rather than crossing the ball. And more recently he has been losing a lot of possession when doing so. Get that ball across. And it's the same from both full backs. They get into some excellent positions, but then spoil all their good work with a cross that doesn't clear the first man. We seem to want to walk the ball through opposition defence and rarely see defence splitting passes. The frustration is that our we just don't seem to be creating enough clear cut chances relative to the pressure we put on the opposition. I still believe our style of play out of defence has also changed since Ronnie Vint was dropped, because he always played the ball out to midfield along the ground rather than the long ball that Connor plays. The one style retains possession, the other makes it a 50/50 ball.
Everything said, at least Steve King is recognising and apologetic for the performances. I believe SK is still the person to pull it all together. However our current form guide is not promotion form as we have slipped from an excellent and challenging position of well over 2 ppg and now down to less than 1.8 ppg, which to me is worrying.
However, there are so many strange results happening g this year in all the current running Leagues from Premier down to ourselves and a lot is down to the strange surroundings of no crowds, I'm sure of that. The frustration is that we all want the Darts to be doing well, so we must keep the faith. COYD

As I’ve stated before it’s basic fizzics.
If u lean back when you strike the ball it goes up in the air, if you lean forward over the thing it stays low!!
Wingers & Full backs......try it!!
