Good Victory today and hopefully we can go a a good run and move up the table, I believe we were so much a better team when Ryno came on and some of his crosses Cunnington would have loved to be on the end of them,

If an earlier statement that one of the management team does not rate Ryno that in my opinion is a total disgrace
Thought the new right back had a good game and linked well with Ryno when he came on No Luke at left back but he was doing some workout with Pughy before the game so I assumed he had a injury , Flischer looked very unfit and did not see what he brings to the team but we won and that is all the matters

Arthur here, a sober Arthur here.
In all seriousness that was more like it for me. Actual goalmouth incidents yesterday which had been lacking all season so far. Rob Howard played very well on his debut, Ronnie back in the starting lineup, is it a coincidence that we get our first win. I dont think so. Luke and Lee look a very good pairing in the engine room and the balance looked right yesterday to me anyhow. Want to make a point about Mark Smith. He has been sound in every match and I cant think of any goal where he could be blamed and nearing the end of the 90 yesterday and our two previous draws he had been very commanding just when we need it most. Anyhow a lovely days weather today, 3 points in the bag and the monkey of the club and managers backs with the win, now its just left for Joe Root to complete the weekend.

Well not even on the bench not going to do his confidence any good

I was surprised at the team selection and first half we seemed at sixes and sevens, strangely enough we played better second half after Adam C was replaced and with Lee Noble and Luke Allen battling away in midfield we deserved the win. Haysie coming on to do his party piece a cross onto Normans head for the winning goal. Lets hope this is the start of some good results for us.

Surprising team selection smacks of accommodating players and uncertainty down our left side game them a goal start
We started with McQueen next to cunnington and after about 20 minutes we seemed to have isolated cunnington by switching wanadio and McQueen and keeping them both wide, perhaps this was to block the oath of the wide player to bonner
A long throw from flisher fell kindly and we went in to the break level
We were always on top in the second half but we didn’t really push Braintree back but it seemed they were playing for a draw or looking for a lucky break
Once they went down to ten men I was confident of a win being the home side and having potential match winners wanadio noble and Hayes on the field
In the end it was a brilliant cross met by livewire and workaholic wabo to head in at the far post
I was impressed with hill the new right back and flusher despite the fact flisher was carrying lumber
A very good win which will hopefully give us confidence to win a few games and get us to mix table this season

Sounds like the starting XI was a muddle but inspired substitutions combined with a Braintree red card helped us along. Good thing too, as a draw would have seen us rock bottom.
Break the Hungerford hex tomorrow and we’ll be turning a corner.

First off, if Luke was dropped to make way for a 'pet' back four then I find that a poor decision. But to not even be on the bench!! Absolutely smacks of well, I don't know what. The Braintree goal was down our left, and our back four were beaten for pace time and again.
Their players 7-11 were running at the defence and lets face it could have had at least two goals first half. Their number 7 ruled midfield and had so much time and space, before Allen and Nobes got their act together.
But then Allen scored and we started to get the upper hand and when their player got sent off we still had 20 minutes on the clock. Surely, you'd thought, plenty of time to get a winner. How we laboured, and yes, for the first time for a long time, we looked better when Ryan took to the pitch. a great cross and a bullet header from Norman you'd think would have wrapped it up, but still we almost managed to throw away two points with a goal line clearance from Hill??
Okay, I am happy we have the elusive win, but in my opinion, not a 'we're back' sort of win for me. Monday will no doubt tell.
Smithy hardly inspires confidence, especially pussying around on the edge of the six yard box while Braintree had players queuing up for a ball across the goal. Back four were okay, the new lad looked good. Allen and Nobes rescued us with a better second half display. When Wanadio cut in you half expected him to shoot, but I just wished it was at the goal. Even the penalty was poor. McQueen was off the pace, for all his pace. Felt that Alex had a good game seeing as it was his first game and was surprised he lasted as long as he did. His long throws are an extra winger but I did notice he was rubbing his shoulder early second half.
Sheringham was poor when he came on and got steadily worse.
Toss up between Noble and Allen for my MOTM, but as much as I love our little fella Luke wins it for me.
My only worry is why Luke Warner-Eley is fit and NOT out there. Otherwise we would have won 3-0 yesterday :?:
