Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Sat 7 Feb 2026
Yet another tough game. These are the one's we should be winning to maintain our play-off position. It's okay getting wins over the top three but then we lose to lower opposition, such is our season.

I wonder if this games at risk. Relentless rain just not due to stop even tomorrow

Last season I thought the Cheshunt pitch was dire so the amount of rain this week I feel the game could be called offKentC wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 1:39 pm I wonder if this games at risk. Relentless rain just not due to stop even tomorrow

My mate, a Cheshunt fan, is not confident this is going ahead. They’ve had three called off already, including Tuesday nights. Don’t get your tickets just yet.

Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Sat 7 Feb 2026 - Postponed - waterlogged pitch
Least surprising PP of the weekend I reckon. Would sum cheshunt up as good car park, good place to get a pint and shite pitch!
Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Sat 7 Feb 2026 - Postponed - waterlogged pitch
If you need a footy fix this weekend, Halls AFC are in the stadium at Princes Park this afternoon, ko 15:001 and our Women's team are at home to Ashford United (Middlesex) tomorrow, ko @ 13:00.
Re: Cheshunt v Dartford Sat 7 Feb 2026 - Postponed - waterlogged pitch
After going 0-2 down after 13 minutes, Halls AFC got it back to 3-2. In the 93rd minute Thamesmead equalised and it finished 3-3. A good game of football to watch. Champion's Bar open. Burger shack open. DFC season ticket holders get free admission.
If you couldn't make it today, there is always tomorrow, to watch DFC Women play. Champion's Bar open. Burger shack open. Only a fiver to get in (kids free).
Your football club, providing real football.

It is LOL. And I admire what you and others do. But I can’t bring myself to watch anything other than Dartford (men’s) at PP. That’s what it’s all about. For me anyway. I went to one women’s game and all I can say is, it wasn’t for me.

Thanks for giving it a try SD. That's all I can ask, and you won't know unless you try. I understand women's football is not for everyone. Our girls won 4-0 yesterday.Sleightly Deceptive wrote: Sat Feb 07, 2026 7:44 pm It is LOL. And I admire what you and others do. Hopefully I won't be there on my own.

I’m sure John will be there for the first 35 minutes…

I think going home from Wingate & Finchley after 35 minutes was a new record. Anyway, he's now coming in my car on Tuesday, so unless he wants to walk home he'll be there until the finish.

Tonight is The Night of Reckoning for our season in my opinion. We lose this one and for me , we can sit back and see how far we descend.
On the other hand, if we win, Saturdays game will hopefully be one of hope that our season hasn't ended.
I'm not counting my chickens, but maybe we'll get to see Champions elect and what, under Jay Saunders, bode's for them next season.
Whatever, as long as we put a fair shift in against them.
