Directions
From junction 2 of the M25 take the A2 and then the M2 towards Dover. On reaching the end of M2 take the A299 towards Margate.

Stay on the A299 for 16 miles until you reach the roundabout and take the 2nd turning for the A28 towards Margate. After 4 miles you will see the Margate boundary sign, and the dual carriage way will become a 2-way road.

After passing the BP garage and a pub called the Hussar, both on the right, you will pass through a set of traffic lights, take the 2nd right onto George V avenue (signposted Ramsgate A254), and follow it up and around to the left passing the Hartsdown Academy School on your right.

At the end of this road you will reach a T junction, turn right into Hartsdown Road. The entrance to the ground is a little further down on the left-hand side.

I'll be there with a few other hardy souls.
I don't mind pre season friendlies as I don't like to go to the first league game not knowing who the new players are and this season that's even more relevant.

I would go as it's just down the road. But unlike you Steve I don't do friendlies, I'm quite happy to wait and see on KO day.
That and Margate has the screaming banshee in the ground. Really grating.

I'd rather watch the Darts play a competitive game against Middlezoy Rovers than a friendly against Real Madrid. Mass substitutions, unknown triallists, and nobody giving a hoot about the result. As long as that attitude doesn't carry on for the whole season, like it did last year. Friendlies are just a training exercise for the benefit of the managers and to help the players with fitness. I get Park Life's point about learning the new players names, but I'll do this at the home friendlies where at least the gate money will be going to our club.

If Dartford post the team news on Twitter sometime this evening, please can someone post it here. I have given up waiting. It's usually 1 hour before the match, but not today. I've been checking every minute for the past 30 mins. Thanks.
