Dover will be not be a easy game, they will be fighting for every point. I still hope we may be the odd game away from some points ourselves. If the players are up for a fight we may get going Saturday, it feels like we have been shackled and the effects are wearing off (slowly) COYD's

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
Well after their last result losing 6-4 on Saturday they know how to score which is where we are lacking at the moment.
Our defence needs to be a lot tighter as well & and we’ve got to stop making stupid costly mistakes.
If we can do all of this then we may be ok, it’s a tough ask though with the squad we have.
I only hope our next 3pts will come very soon.

Anyone know if we are allowed a cup of tea at Crabble or is it just dust and bin juice like last season?
Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
Good question?? Any access to the blue shed or is it a Cricketers job? x
Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
I've just phoned Dover and they have confirmed the game is SEGREGATED.
You can pay on the gate and we've got the long walk up the far end.

Leave the Cricketers at 2.45 then!!
So should be in the ground for the 2nd half!!

Dover are obviously still deluded into thinking that they are a big club

Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
I looked at their preview of the game on their website.
They just slaughter us the whole article around league position, leaky defence, don’t score many goals, haven’t win for ages, etc etc
None of it’s wrong but the entire contents on us is we’re really shi*e and they’re quite good now.

Match Preview by Fred Deveson.
Dover are back at Crabble this weekend as they host Dartford, who are struggling towards the bottom end of the league.
The visitors have a particularly poor record in their last five matches, losing every one of them, and only scoring two goals in that tricky period.
The away side are without a win since boxing day, when they came out on top away to Welling United, who are themselves fighting for survival.
Dartford are not big scorers either, having only scored four goals this calender year, which is something Dover will be looking to exploit this weekend, as the Whites’ defence has largely improved despite letting in six last weekend at Worthing.
The away side have also failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven games and have been the first to concede in four of their last five, showing just how poor their record is of late.
The visitors have had a slightly busier schedule recently, with postponements making their schedule difficult. Dartford hosted Chippenham during the week; a game in which the visitors took a 0-1 win.
As for Dover Athletic, their record has not been much better than Dartford’s lately but they did find their scoring boots last week at Worthing, scoring four times in a 6-4 defeat.
The defence has somewhat weakened in the last two away fixtures, conceding nine in the last two, but at home it is a different story, with Dover keeping a clean sheet against Slough last time out at Crabble.
The two George’s at Dover have scored plenty for Dover in the past few games, with George Wilkinson getting two wonderful goals against Worthing, and George Nikaj netting the winner against Slough and the equaliser at Taunton.
The Whites will be hoping that the pair can find their form once again against a leaky Dartford defence.
before the game Manager Jake Leberl has said:
"We look to bounce back here today & get back to being a lot harder to beat than we have been in the two previous away games, where at home to date we have been, it’s our job to motivate the players & install the correct work ethic & temperament into the group to keep going to the last kick of the season which I feel we have just come away from in last two games, we need to build for whatever lay ahead what we can’t do or accept is down tools."

Only a madman would predict this one.
I’m going 3-3, nurse.

Also, on a less frivolous note, the A2 has been closed since 11pm last night owing to a serious incident. It’s expected to reopen at 10am, however it will be worth considering the M20 for anyone travelling by road. Check your route.
Re: Dover Athletic v Dartford Sat 17 Feb 2024
The A2 route is far the easiest as it more or less takes you to the ground. For those travelling the M20 route will have to navigate through the town.
As for the game, I think we will come good today. Recent performances have shown improvement but I would like to see Adebowale start and swap Jordan out for Rooney. TB needs to tell Coulson to stay out wide and stay there. We have always been a better team playing with width. COYD

0 confidence, must win
If we fail to win then it all but confirms how f*cked we are this season.

No mention [ yet] of a LIVE Commentary link to the game , is the Dover Chairman being a prat once again and not allowing it ???????
