Any chance of the under 16 policy been temporarily suspended as a trial period? Timing for this game could be worth the risk?!

That would mean the board backing down or admitting their original knee jerk reaction!! Don’t think that will happen??

Some of the so called under 16s were not under 16 they wanted to pay junior prices then go a drink in the bar .

Like the past 10 generations of kids have, nothing wrong
with that I used to try and get in at West Ham as under 15 until I was 17 and had a full time job to be able to pay the adult fee.

I was drinking when I was 16 and if I didn’t have to pay full price to get in somewhere I wouldn’t, so can’t blame them for trying.

As a club we need to get the atmosphere on match day up to what they used to be, surely it helps the players as well, just hope they want to come back

Carlisle United have a policy of under 14's must be accompanied by an adult. They have just banned 4 kids for the verbal abuse of the Port Vale keeper.
Carlisle are now reviewing this to up it to 16 year olds accompanied.
Which begs the question, should some of the adults be accompanied? It seems that once the kids are in the stadium they then go on to do what they like anyway.
Apparently Carlisle United have seen a worrying upsurge of bad behaviour from the kids this season. Maybe because of the fact they are bottom of the division.
Whereas, at Dartford there has been a worrying trend of ennui amongst all ages who just need a shot in the arm.
Hey ho.

if they can afford alcohol they can afford to pay full price to get in.

Many many years ago when I was a kid we didn’t pay to get in to see welling, climbed over the danson park end
And we didn’t pay for the ham rolls either, we nicked em….ahh the good old days
Hopefully at the Weymouth game plenty of fans return including plenty of youngsters if the board can agree it
I’m looking forward to being at the game and seeing TB back in charge , if it goes well it he may stay for longer?

I agree but also it’s not as if we do anything to attract the younger generation to come and watch Dartford or do anything to tap into this massive community to get them in and through the doors.

Na, probably wishful thinking, but they did go back on Douse so there is always hope.

First time in ages i'm really looking forward to the game as well as meeting up with friends.

Curious to see how TB will line up as he's watched from the sidelines like us and will no doubt have his own ideas but will to some degree have his hands tied as there are very few options in some positions.
If i have it right he has the following to choose from:-

Keeper - Terrell
Defence - Statham, Nembhard, Odebowale, Odaudu.
Centre Mid - Wynter, Rooney, Miller-Rodney, Allen, Smith, Maloney.
Wide - Coulson, Barzey
Forwards - Alexander, Wall, Manor.

I believe:-
Block is back in training (hope so as he's had more than his fair share of bad luck and looks a decent player).
Not sure on Sheringham.
Chin and MacArthur both injured and back with their parent clubs.

So i think the back five virtually picks itself and if he goes 4-4-2 we only really have two wide players in Coulson and Barzey. That would leave two from the six central midfielders and probably Alexander with either Wall or Manor up front. However taking everything into account I have a feeling he might go with five across the middle? Whatever TB decides i will be there and getting behind the team right from the off.

Parky; I don’t recollect TB ever (at any stage) playing just 3 at the back?
So I assume you’re talking 4-5-1 ?? Leaving just 1 x striker, at home, biggish crowd, against mid table opposition??
Can’t see that happening??

Yeah 4-5-1, he's played that in the past so i think that's a possibility.

Personally i'd probably go 4-4-2.

I would like to see TB go 4-4-2 as well PL but do you think we have the player’s to pull it off. With Brandon back, at least we now have 2 natural wide players. With that in mind and the recent performance at M@id$ton£ from Miller-Rodney & Rooney, that would be the 4 across midfield.

Whoever plays, will have my 100% support. In fact I am looking forward to the match against a very young in-form Weymouth team. Bobby Wilkinson is one of the best managers at our level, fortunately for us he has one of the smallest budgets in the division as Weymouth are still paying the price for overspending during their conference spell. It will be another close game but the deciding factor could be TB’s return, let’s hope so. COYD.

Also looking forward to getting back to PP. With suppressed expectations though, there is no way things on the pitch can vastly change with the same playing staff.
I’m still slightly surprised the board acted when they did, hopefully the adage “a change is as good as a rest” comes to fruition and some positive energy returns to the place.

See you droogies tomorrow.
