Re: Dartford v Torquay Utd Sat 25 Nov 2023
I have a question. Do you have to pay extra for a seat in the stadium? After 17 years I thought I'd ask.
I have a neighbour who is interested in coming up to see a game but he can't stand for the entire game. As I have stood on the Princes road side since the place opened I never thought to ask.

He definitely needs to sit, that's why I asked. Which would be a new thing for me too. But I suppose he could do some bench warming. I really don't see this a long term relationship.
He is a West Ham and Dagenham and Redbridge supporter so is used to suffering .

He's decided on the Yeovil game now.
I told him he'd have to put up with the noise...from the Yeovil support.

Seems like we have signed a striker from I think Bromley who scored 7 goals in 15 games on a year deal , think itโs a excellent signing , does tho sort of dismiss we have no budget left etc, who has gone to pay for his wages? Anyway if he cracks the net open Saturday. who cares

As Bromley are full-time, he might still be training with them which could lower the wage cost for us? I don't know how it works, but I reckon it would work out cheaper than the wage incentive of signing a player permanently.Lennylenny wrote: โThu Nov 23, 2023 5:01 pm Seems like we have signed a striker from I think Bromley who scored 7 goals in 15 games on a year deal , think itโs a excellent signing , does tho sort of dismiss we have no budget left etc, who has gone to pay for his wages? I always thought the club loaning the player pays 50% of his wages, but maybe things have changed??
Re: Dartford v Torquay Utd Sat 25 Nov 2023
My understanding is that it just comes down to whatever the clubs agree on. It could be anything from 0% to 100%.
It's a shame it's yet another loan deal, but at least it's a season long deal and he does appear to be a decent signing and, more importantly perhaps, a different type to the main four strikers we already have. It does give hope to the notion that we might try something a bit different.

Having read the kentonline article on Ryan Sandford he's been unlucky with injury in the past. I hope his luck picks up having been picking balls out of the back of the net since coming to PP.

Just discovered there is commentary on BBC Radio Devon, but anybody will need to search for the link with BBC non league commentaries.
