Re: Player news
It's not took Ade long to work out where we needed strengthening, so well done.
A warm welcome to Rhys, Harrison and Ollie.

Re: Player news
Ollie has been on loan at truro since February. Seven games and one goal.
Re: Player news
Of what I’ve read Aldershot fans like him and think he could have a decent future
Re: Player news
No one can accuse Ade of not rolling the dice to keep Dartford FC in the NLS. The current squad - regardless of effort - are losing week in, week out, so not much to be lost by chucking the kitchen sink at it for the last month. Anything could happen.

Re: Player news
Interesting, I wonder if Aldershot were worried about him being over-played due to Truro’s fixture pile up?Taunton Dart wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 12:43 am https://www.trurocityfc.net/news/brays- ... 40835.html
Also impressive that he scored for them at West Brom in the FA Cup. 3:30 in the highlights below

Re: Player news
Well, we can't say that Ade isn't good at his word and is trying to keep us up.
But if we do go down it gives me a bit of confidence for the future and his ability to get a good side together for an immediate return.

Re: Player news
I haven't given up hope but we are starting to run out of games
7 games left and 10/ 11 points needed.imho
All we can do is battle away ,but if I am honest.
We are not great place and relegation is a distinct possibility.

Re: Player news
If this is true I hope that he is under contract and that we get a good fee for him.
Dartford FC Academy prospect Olly Box is set to move to West Ham United in the summer, with the Europa Conference League holders edging the competition for the 18-year-old’s signature.
HITC previously reported that David Moyes’ side held interest, with the likes of Crystal Palace, Brentford and Millwall also monitoring Box’s progress. Brentford notably completed the signing of Bromley starlet Ben Krauhaus in January.
Kent Sports News understands that Box has chosen to move to the London Stadium, with the transfer being completed following the season’s conclusion. This will be the highest profile departure from the Darts academy since Martial Godo, who moved to Fulham in 2022.
The versatile attacking midfielder will likely join up with West Ham’s academy sides, potentially playing with the likes of Oliver Scarles and Callum Marshall.
Box was handed his first senior contract ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, and a host of impressive performances in preseason saw him make the matchday squad on a number of occasions once the league season began.
His progression in his breakthrough season has not necessarily been linear. He went on loan briefly to Margate, where he lined up next to Dartford Academy coach Ben Greenhalgh, and also still featured for the club’s title winning Under 19s side.
In February, he was awarded his first start in the National League South by interim manager and youth department director Tony Burman. Fittingly, he scored on debut in a 2-1 win over Dover and netted a brace in his next game away to Slough.
The 18-year-old has been a shining light in a largely dull season for the Darts and has grasped the challenge of a relegation battle with all the maturity of a seasoned professional. With four goals in six starts, he was bound to attract attention from the top clubs in and around the area.

Re: Player news
Putting aside my own selfish desire that he would be with us next season. What a great story for him and the academy, hopefully there is money involved and perhaps contacts made for the odd loan or two from their ranks in the future, not just an obligatory friendly lol
