Can’t quite believe it but another new ground for me. Well, as a fan. Refereed there when they were Langney Sports. It’s all changed since then. Can anyone offer any advice re parking? Got to drive cos visiting family in Worthing later. Ta in advance.

The ground guide (link above) says:

"From the direction of Brighton on the A27 take the A22 towards Stone Cross and Westham. At the next roundabout take the first exit again towards Stone Cross and Westham. Continue towards Stone Cross village until you will come to a crossroads, with a church on your left and the Red Lion pub on the. Turn right just past the pub onto the B2104 Friday Street. At the end of Friday Street, turn left at the double mini-roundabout into Hide Hollow (B2191). After passing Eastbourne Crematorium on your right, turn right at the roundabout into Priory Road. The entrance to the ground is about 200 yards down the road on the left. There is a good-sized car park at the ground which holds 400 cars, part of which is allocated to away supporters and is free of charge. As there is only one entrance/exit to the car park, then this can lead to a bit of a bottleneck at the end of the game".

Thanks Rick. I did try the link but didn’t see that. I get sent to their website which didn’t say much. Should have gone to Specsavers. Thanks for taking the trouble mate.

Eastbourne on a late run and with yet another plastic pitch, could be a tough game, But then we have to expect tough games from now on in. :?

We didn't do too bad last time we went to Eastbourne, but this time our opponents have more to play for as they aim to get into the playoffs. Here's the match preview https://puredfc.co.uk/eastbourne-borough-v-dartford-2

Good luck to the team this afternoon. I was planning to make the trip on my mountain bike today. I did enquire earlier in the week to see if there was anyehere I could safely leave my bike at the ground.
Unfortunately the chairman of EBFC didn't get back to me.
So, instead of being 2 hours into the ride I'll be supporting Ebbsfleet instead.
They need a point for the title unless we fail to win this afternoon.
I never thought I'd find myself supporting the Fleet, even for 90 minutes.
My reason for going though will differ from that of the Ebbsfleet fans.
While they celebrate the inevitable promotion I'll be hoping to enjoy watching Oxford City lose!

The league throws up strange fixtures from tie to time. Today could be a trial run of the play-offs. Chelmsford (4th) vs. Farnborough (7th) and St Albans (5th) vs. Braintree (6th). No doubt much will change between now and the end of the regular fixtures, but these four teams will all expect to feature in the play-offs. An Eastbourne win today could move them up to sixth. We must make sure that does not happen.

Ajaxman, I'm sorry that you didn't get a response to your mountain bike question. We did have a big email issue at the start of this week where lots of mails were going into our junk folders. (And by definition, that's something that you don't know until you find out, so to speak). We could certainly have kept your bike secure, but I guess it's too late now. Enjoy the Kuflink! And safe travelling to those who are heading south. It isn't raining, and the wind is a mere Force 4 .....
