Taunton are in a very strange position. They've only played 19 games which is 9 less than us so although they are 17th in the table I highly doubt that's a true position for them.

They also have an FA trophy game that should be going ahead tonight

We've seen this past weekend anyway that regardless of position we cannot under estimate anyone.

They've only played 8 games at home, where they remain unbeaten. Just 2 wins from their 11 away games.

We owe these one from the game at their place!
Terrible pitch & more importantly no draught beer whatsoever???
But I was reliably informed it’s the home of 40 Commando so I didn’t make a fuss!!

Hoping we get the pitch covered so that this game is on, some real hard frosts but the suns out and I presume that Jay will get the covers on to protect the side where the stand is that gets a lack of sun!

I reckon you’d have been alright, government cuts has reduced them to 2 Commando and a moped.

My first game since the Ebbsfleet massacre. Taunton have a mean defence while not setting the place alight. This will be a tough game have no doubts. We've got to get back into winning ways and hopefully that will be tomorrow.

In my opinion, our worst performance in the league this season was the away game down at Taunton. We were absolutely dreadful that day and despite nearly nicking a result, in the end we got what our performance deserved. That they have already beaten us once, coupled with the fact they have conceded only 18 goals and have the best defensive record in the league, should serve as a warning of how difficult this game could be. Taunton are in a false position, having some 9 games in hand over ourselves they will surely finish much higher up than their current position. Of course, if Darts can perform at the levels we hit over the festive season then we have every reason to be optimistic, but at the very least, I'm expecting a tough game against decent opponents who are doing pretty well in their first season at this level.

Just arrived in Dartford from Taunton for the weekend!

Taunton are certainly in a false league positron as their backlog of fixtures is in no small part due to cup rings. They made the 1st Round in the FA Cup losing at MK Don's but in the way drew 0-0 at Yeovil and won the replay. On Tuesday they lost in the FA Trophy at Torquay 4-2.

They don't ship many goals but I am really hoping for a top notch Darts performance to shut up the regulars in my pub near Taunton (including the Taunton Fixture Secretary)

The game being called off is a bit of a surprise. Temperatures have been a bit warmer than earlier in the week and although it's still cold I didn't envisage tomorrow's match being postponed.

Yeah a real shame for Taunton Dart.

I would guess that both clubs are really disappointed the game is off but if you leave it until tomorrow morning and then call it off Taunton would already be on their way and incurred hefty travel expenses etc. so nobody benefits.

With freezing temperatures forecast overnight the pitch won't be any better in the morning so as disappointing as it is, probably a sensible decision.

We’re going to be in that odd situation tomorrow where we’re all sitting about wondering what to do with ourselves while it’s a beautiful sunny day outside!
Hard lines Taunton Dart, you’re in Pete Samson territory with your bad luck!

Feel sorry for Taunton Dart - but, if I may, I’ve benefited! Couldn’t make this one but should be okay for the rearranged fixture.

Yes I know it’s Egg-Chasing, they applaud both teams & call the Ref Sir instead of w#nker. But the bar will be open & any Totti present should be Dartfords finest!!
Just a thought??

Again no lack of effort from our top groundsman Jay who had the covers and heaters on the pitch a to try and get the game on.

Obviously the players safety is a priority.
Also as has already been stated Taunton have a long trip and needed to know about the postponement ASAP
We are not behind in our fixtures so no real damage done.

Yep, on a selfish note, the gods are smiling on this poor dry-January enforced soul! Worthing is wet cos four weeks is clearly enough (too much)!
