What an unbelievable couple of results and when you add that to the Havant result to come out of those games with 9 points is absolutely massive.

Aside from the 15 minute spell at the start of the 2nd half including when they had one cleared off the line Ebbsfleet never really looked like troubling us and that is a credit to the defence.

Alex was a real problem for them up front and the only way they could deal with him was by pulling his shirt and wrestling him, unfortunately we had another awful ref which we should all be used to at this point.

3386 attendance was far more than I expected and hopefully a few of those who aren't regulars stick around.

Could genuinely give MOTM to anyone so going to have a think before casting my vote.

Interesting 'word on the street' in my neck of the woods, especially looking at these two Christmas results, is that Ebbsfleet 'can't afford to win promotion'......ground improvements would cost too much.......surely that can't be the case as they are full-time

There is not 1 ebbsfleet player that would get in the Dartford eleven at the moment after their 2 batterings.

What a game and another fantastic result. I thought we pretty much controlled the first half and deserved our half tome lead . Second half and Ebbsfleet found another gear and really started to put us under pressure. The main turning point came when they they thought they had scored, I could not see but the twitter feed said it was a fantastic clearance by Statham . Shortly after we broke clear and Napa scored with a brilliant finish across the keeper . That killed off Ebbsfleet and a goal from Charlie and one from Essam completed the scoring

I only have 3 off the goals but hope to be able to upload the 4th later

Sheringham scores Dartford’s 3rd v Ebbsfleet

Napa scores Dartford’s 2nd

Alex Wall scores Dartford’s 1st goal v Ebbsfleet

Amazing game to be at, shame that at the bar at half time I saw a few people stood by the window blinds already open and talking to each other not looking out, when an older dartford fan came barging through them and told them that " the blinds shouldn't be open during game time and if they were regulars they would know that",

Then continued to walk through them to close the said blinds, the reaction he got from them was a " dont look like we will be regulars either" Gives a good look to the casual fans that turn up now and then, other than that it was a great game to be at today

Well, what a marvellous performance to start the New Year with. Great team spirit throughout our squad, something that is clearly lacking in the opponents team. Perhaps they are too worried about how much the other players in their team are being paid to actually put in a shift and help each other. Lots of disagreement in their extremely leaky defence.

Ebbsfleet had no idea how to cope with a big centre forward who is not afraid to put himself about. If the ref and lino had applied the rules of the game, Ebbsfleet would have ended up with far more cards that the sole one finally handed out to number 7, who committed numerous fouls in the second half alone. Not sure why it took so long for him to be booked, but perhaps because the Dartford players did not surround the ref every time a foul was committed against them, unlike their rivals.

Even at two goals to the good and less than ten minutes to play, Dartford did not resort to winding down the clock. They carried on attacking and were rewarded with two further goals. Not sure how the Ebbsfleet boss will explain this one away. Blaming the ref is a tad difficult when you have been given almost every shout for a foul that you made and your opponents have been showered with cards like confetti. Add to that the ref's decision to ignore the constant holding by your defenders and you really have little to complain about. Perish the thought that he might finally admit that they have been beaten twice in a week by a better team.

With twenty games to play, we are very much in the mix. We have shown the other teams in the league that Ebbsfleet are nothing to fear if you have a strong team spirit and determination. They have some fancy players, but little end product. We could win all our remaining games and still not win the league, but I doubt that will happen. We must try to win as many as we can and hope that a few other teams can help us as they help themselves. Stranger things have happened.

Thank you to everybody involved at Dartford FC for such an enjoyable Christmas break. Keep up the good work and have a great night tonight.

Not at our best today - played better on Boxing Day, I thought, but to come away with a 4-0……things are looking good for the future. No team plays well every week, and you might be at your best only a handful of times a season, so to win comfortably when not playing well is what gets you to the top. I would say though that I think we might have got away with one when Statham cleared it. My mates and I thought it was over the line. Still, we were marginally better first half and once the 2nd went in it was our game. Plenty to be pleased about.

Match Report by Chris Palmer:

Dartford began the new year in style with an emphatic victory over Ebbsfleet United, as they completed the league double over their local rivals.

A bumper crowd of 3,386 supporters witnessed another superb performance from Tom Bonner and Co, as they smashed four goals past Dennis Kutrieb’s side for the second time within a week.

Unlike the Boxing Day clash, though, goalkeeper Dan Wilks kept the visitors out as he kept a clean sheet on just his second start since returning from injury.

Alan Dowson’s side were quick out of the blocks once again, only this time Mark Cousins looked to be in fine form between the Ebbsfleet sticks during the opening exchanges. First, he palmed away a Samir Carruthers free-kick in the sixth minute, before he somehow kept out Kristian Campbell’s close range effort during a goal-mouth scramble following a Luke Coulson corner (9).

The visitors responded to that early pressure by creating their first corner of the game in the 11th minute after Luke O’Neill’s cross was deflected behind. Rakish Bingham was on hand to get on the end of Craig Tanner’s set-piece, only for Dan Wilks thwart him with a solid save (12).

The visitors were forced into an early change with Gregory Cundle replacing Joseph Martin after 22 minutes, but it didn’t make much difference as they continued to struggle with the pace of Luke Coulson and Malachi Napa. And, it was the latter who proved to be instrumental in the opening goal…

As Alex Wall was fouled deep inside the Ebbsfleet half of the pitch, Carruthers’s free-kick eventually found Napa, who’s pass ricocheted through and into the path of Wall. Deep inside the box, the Dartford number nine then slotted the ball confidently past Cousins from a tight angle to net his fourth goal in three games (29).

The hosts came close to stretching their lead three minutes later, after Napa and Wall combined well once again. However, Haydn Hollis was on hand to make a timely block to keep his side in the game.

Ebbsfleet began to grow in confidence soon after, as they pulled themselves into the game and started to make more of a contest of the derby. Dominic Poleon was looking lively and would force Connor Essam into making a late challenge in the 36th minute, which earned the defender a yellow card from referee Mr Daniel Lamport.

And, as the Darts closed ranks before the break, Alex Wall was soon booked for a foul on Chris Solly (43), as the visitors continued to probe.

The second forty-five saw the visitors pressing forward more intently and they came close a few times during the opening exchanges. First Alex Finney got on the end of Cundle’s cross, only to see Dan Wilks pull off a good save (54). The away dugout were adamant that the ball had crossed the line, but Mr Lamport disagreed and it was as we were…

Wilks then saved well once again, this time from a Dominic Poleon drive in the 55th minute, as Ebbsfleet piled on the pressure.

Dennis Kutrieb would be the first to react again by throwing on Omari Sterling-James for Luke O’Neill after 64 minutes, as they continued to chase the game. His final change came in the 75th minute, when ex-Dart Darren McQueen came on for Craig Tanner. However, the latter was to play a big part in the next goal of the game…

Under pressure, Tanner lost the ball in the midfield as the Darts counter-attacked. Luke Coulson collected the ball, ran through on goal, before threading the ball out to Malachi Napa on the right-flank. And, Napa fired the ball beyond Mark Cousins to double Dartford’s advantage and open his account in style (74).

Rewinding back five minutes, Charlie Sheringham was the first of Alan Dowson’s substitutions, as he replaced Alex Wall (69). And, Dartford’s remaining changes included Malachi Napa being replaced by Pierre Fonkeu (86) and Keiran Murtagh coming on for Samir Carruthers (90).

As we return to the action, Rakish Bingham came close as his side chased the game. However, he dragged his 77th minute effort wide of Wilks’ upright before the hosts put the game out of reach.

Luke Coulson’s excellent free-kick from the left side of the pitch was smashed into the back of the net by substitute Charlie Sheringham’s powerful header at Cousins’ far post (82), before Connor Essam got on the end of another Coulson free-kick with a delightful effort deep in stoppage time to seal the win in style.

In a game where the Darts were irresistibly deadly in front of goal, Malachi Napa was awarded with a deserved Man of The Match, as he helped his side stretch their lead to five points at the top of the National League South table, as their rivals slipped to third. Happy New Year Indeed!

The Fleet Manager cant talk himself out of the last 2 " performances " against the Darts as they were comprehensively beaten by a TEAM over their highly paid ex pros who are only there for the pay packet and when the going gets tough they throw the towel in like spoilt kids , their win record over last 10 games is abysmal and NOT a blip as Denis would have it , probably wont get the sack cause the " money men dont care about the Club Just the opportunities that could come from owning it ,so Denis can sleep easy until he finds a job back in Germany as sure as hell he has no future in England !!!!!!!!!!
I liked the after match interview as the content shows that we have to keep our feet on the ground and just consistently perform as see how it pans out

Ebbsfleet are a bunch [note Ididnt say a team ] who are overpaid , overated , no bottle and cheating their fans , hardly recipe for success ???

The boys were fantastic
The manager got it spot on again
The fans fantastic (keep the youth)
So proud of this team

The referee was abysmal, all the crap decisions or non decisions went to them, that’s not have rose tinted glasses surely anyone could see it, yellow cards for far less than what they were doing and getting nothing.
Resorted to cheating, bouncing off players and falling down and getting free kicks.
Person next to me said during game they can’t blame the referee again this time like they do normally because of the complete unbalanced decisions and yellows but guess what, they are.

So pleased for Tom B who gets stick from them all the time but he’s played a massive part in keeping them out today. If they had Tom they’d have more points no questions he’s a different level to the tripe they’ve blown money on at centre backs.
If he was in their back four they’d be miles ahead of everyone

Very happy with our Christmas return. We’ve put ourselves right in thee with a chance of the title now but, without getting carried away, we move on to a tough fixture away against an in-form, spirited Cheshunt side looking for their second scalp in the month.

For now though, those two thrashings of Ebbsfleet were very sweet and thoroughly deserved. Well done Dowse and Christian for another master-class. Today was always going to be a different challenge to Boxing Day but we rose to it.

Captains performance today - Tom gets my vote for MotM.

What a great result and fully deserved three points. Four excellent goals and delighted how dowse is managing to get the best out of Alex and Charlie, both look a real threat
Some brilliant performances all over the pitch but I make the keeper man of the match , safe hands throughout
Fabulous to be top but there is a long long way to go and sack of points to play for. Let’s keep our nerve and keep this going
