Yes I can remember these games to and would have thought that the likes of Johnny Ripley and Lou Cooper in the early days would have been playing before they broke into the first team.

Your memory is a bit better than mine Barry I remembered John Ripley scoring the double hat trick which is what prompted his name and I think that Lou got on the score sheet that day as well but I certainly couldn't remember who it was against well done.

I can remember going to the Metropolitan Police game in the 1984 85 season in the FA Cup 1st Round when we beat them 3-0
My dad and I sat in the grandstand and two rows behind us was the Match Of The Day commentator and yes we were on the television that night and
we watched George Borg scoring a cracking goal again.
