Good work by all concerned but Samir is just head and shoulders above everyone else.Mom a simple pick this week. Well done lads - back on top and long may it last.

We played very well today and totally dominated the game . The passing and movement was superb at times . The only thing Concord was good at was screaming like a bunch of pussies whenever they got tackled which Ref seemed to fall for every time .

Our first goal from Samir was deflected but he was a different class all afternoon which is even better when you consider no one in a Dartford shirt had a bad game

The second goal was a really nice worked team goal result in a great finish from Fonkeu .

I missed the 3rd goal but enjoy the other 2

Another Team like Braintree with players feeling the slightest touch go down with a Scream, and with 4 or 5 of his mates also screaming as he drops to the floor. They must practice this in Training as there in such Harmony together but not needing to be that good at it to fool todays Ref.

Match Report by Chris Palmer:

DARTFORD 3 CONCORD RANGERS 1

Dartford’s form at Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park continued, as they beat Concord Rangers in a dominant display in front of 1,009 supporters.

With the visitors on an unbeaten run in four league games themselves, this fixture had the potential to be a difficult contest. However, the Darts dominated in large quantities throughout this game and were a tad unfortunate to go in level at the break.

Eventual Man of The Match, Samir Carruthers, was in superb form once again as he set about helping to control the midfield alongside Keiran Murtagh and Jordan Wynter. Yet it was his teammate, Davide Rodari, who was unlucky not to open the scoring after receiving the ball from Charlie Sheringham. His fifth-minute strike stinging the hands of goalkeeper Mitch Beeney at the near post instead.

Despite controlling proceedings though, the Darts just couldn’t turn their dominance into goals at first. Samir Carruthers dragged a shot just wide after 12 minutes, before Connor Essam’s drive from distance after good work from Carruthers and Keiran Murtagh flew straight into the grateful arms of Beeney (14).

The Beach Boys grew into the game soon after and both sides proceeded to cancel each other out in the middle of the park. That was until the 27th minute… After a great move down their left-flank, space opened up for Carruthers inside the box whereby the talismanic midfielder wrong-footed Beeney and gave his side a deserved lead with a neat finish.

As half-time approached, Carruthers should have doubled Dartford’s lead after linking up well with Rodari. The latter created a brilliant opportunity for Dartford’s number four, but his strike flew straight into Beeney’s arms unfortunately (45).

However the visitors, who’d lost James Blanchfield to an injury in the 18th minute, all of a sudden woke up and created their first meaningful opportunity as we entered five additional minutes.

First to come was Ben Williamson’s acrobatic strike from Tosan Popo’s long throw, which crashed off the crossbar. Then, as the Darts failed to clear their lines, referee Mr Steven Hughes offered Concord a lifeline for a possible handball offense during the next attacking sequence. Up-stepped Mo Bettamer to convert the spot-kick and send his side in level at the break.

A relatively slow start to the second forty-five eventually saw the hosts re-take the lead after Charlie Sheringham and Davide Rodari combined well to create an opening for Pierre Fonkeu. And the latter didn’t disappoint, as he turned inside the box to fire an excellent strike into the bottom corner (54).

Alan Dowson’s side began to turn the screw again as they dominated proceedings. As they forced desperate defending from the Beach Boys’ backline, a few corners were awarded and it wasn’t long before they came close once again… Sheringham getting onto the end of Carruthers’ set-piece with a firm header only for it to fly narrowly wide of Beeney’s upright in the 68th minute.

Connor Essam would suffer almost exactly the same miss from another corner six minutes later, before the visitors gifted Dartford the three points after 76 minutes. A communication breakdown between Beeney and his captain Aron Pollock saw the defender put the ball in his own net.

With his side comfortably in front, Alan Dowson made all three substitutions within seven minutes as the returning Luke Allen replaced Davide Rodari (80), Alex Wall replaced Charlie Sheringham (82), and Luke Coulson came on for Man of The Match Samir Carruthers (87).

There was still time for the visitors to create a possible second and consolation goal, but skipper Tom Bonner ensured that the score remained as it was during additional time at the end.

The result sees the Darts return to top spot of the National League South table, as their excellent run of just one defeat in fourteen league games continues.

I noticed the Ebbsfleet manager Dennis Kutrieb was watching the game, no doubt he realised that when Samir plays well Dartford play well.

Dominant performance, Samir master-class. Mention due however for Davide whose work rate is always exceptionally high. Just doesn’t score enough goals for me as a striker.

Concord, despite their run of recent good form, look a team in the lower eschelons of the table. Their constant strategy of trying to get opponents cautioned stinks!

Tough month ahead starting next Saturday at Chelmsford.

Come on Darts, let’s keep this going.

Managed to catch most of the commentary, although I did miss the last 10 minutes of the first half so missed their penalty!

From what I caught and have read it sounded like a comfortable win, can't comment too much on individuals but Samir is just proving week by week what a top player he is.

Havant dropping some points yesterday too, a good weekend all round.

Regulation win against ordinary oppo.
Our on loan keeper had very little to do except fish the ball.out of the net for ball to hand penalty decisions.
We played well and did what was required.
Samir was outstanding and took his goal well.
Classic cock up for our 3rd goal....complete lack of communication. By their skipper and their keeper.,Tough month coming up hopefully we will have a fully fit squad.

Felt that we were always going to win yesterday, thought that CR weren't that great but the penalty got them back in to it before half time. Even then felt we would win.
Good performances across the pitch, Statham. Essam, Carruthers (of course) Rodari and Fonkeu. Very easy to give Samir MOTM but felt that Max had his best game for the club so far and decided he was my MOTM. Watching Samir sometimes on the ball is a delight. Hope Dennis didn't learn too much from yesterday's performance. Good to see Luke back again and Pierre run's and runs.
I enjoy listening to Christian's thoughts and explanations after the match.
Tough game next week against Chelmo. Let's hope we can get a result there.
Nice to see BAWDart redeem himself with a glowing post at the end of the game. Arsewipe. It gives him license to carry on posting drivel.

Important to get back to winning ways and we have picked up a decent four points this week with two contrasting performances.
Sheer grit & determination at Oxford and a good all round performance yesterday.
We played some good football at times and thoroughly deserved the win as Concord are "difficult" opponents who imo, would do better adopting a different approach to games.

I did contemplate giving MOTM to their No. 5 for the great finish for our third goal but in the end went for Samir ;) ;)
He was the best player on the pitch yesterday by some distance.

The fixtures coming up in December are probably our hardest months fixtures this season but after this week we should be going into these games full of confidence. If we can pick up a decent amount of points in these games it will put us in a great position going into the new year.

One of those ‘never in doubt’ games but in a lacking atmosphere and ruined by yet another fussy referee ‘bought’ by opposition falling around whilst sod-all for us on equal merit. I’m well pissed off with appalling refereeing performance week in week out. There‘s clearly a national shortage of referees and apparent ‘over promotion’ to National League level resulting in many being well out of their depth. I speak from a ‘qualified’ perspective. Even if it was 15 years ago. Anyway, a professional performance by the lads showing resolve after the past short run of results. It’s all about the league now and a top 3 position. What a massive month ahead! If we come through that with a bagful of points we’re in dreamland. But who’d have predicted us being where we are now earlier in the season? Half term school report is looking good! 😃
