Been a Darts fan now for over 65 years.
Good win from the Darts this afternoon.

Much better performance from us today gave MOTM to Keiran Murtagh I thought he was outstanding chasing back and hunting the ball down.

First half neither side got control of the game and were guilty of a few wayward passes and not creating any clear cut chances.
Second half Samir scored with two quality strikes and this ended it as a contest.
Morale boosting three points but tougher games ahead.

MOTM will no doubt go to Samir but thought Murtagh put in a good performance today.

MOM between Fonkeu, Campbell and Carruthers, although defence was resolute and would be happy to see any one of them awarded. Cast my vote to Samir which was the obvious choice given his sublime goals (first one sounded good anyway 🙄)

Was a really enjoyable day, almost everything about HH makes for a good day out. Nice to catch up with a few fellow fans not yet seen this season and the Hemel lot were a decent craic too. From top to bottom we deserved today’s win, I am so pleased for Dowse to wrap up the bank holiday with three points.

Mustard.

As frustrating as the losses have been, listening to Dowse in his interviews gives me a lot of confidence that he is the right man for the job and really does want the best for the club.

Solid performance. Scrappy from both teams first half, Darts controlled the second half. Two cracking goals from Samir. He gets my vote for MoM but mention due for Kieron Murtagh in midfield who showed his experience to guide us through the game.
Progress!

Decided not to go in the end. Maybe I should continue that trend as I’ve now missed all three wins and only seen us lose! 🤦‍♂️

As others have said first half a bit scrappy but we took control second half and Samir scored two fantastic goals, and after the first one i felt we played with more confidence, hopefully we can now kick on and really challenge this season and prove the doubters wrong which includes me.

MOM i gave to Samir but Kieren played really well as did young Maxwell Statham and Kirsten Campbell

On to Saturday another hard game but feeling more confident

Sounds like a really positive response by the team to two poor displays against Taunton and Worthing.

Good to hear Dowse sounding upbeat too. No ego and flannel from him, he says it as it is! I still think 10 games in is the yardstick, and that's why l didn't post after Saturdays showing - l might have ended up regretting it!

Really pleased to read how positively Kieren responded to being dropped for Saturday by putting in a top performance. I felt too often last season Kingy's favourites got an automatic pick and others got left out after a good performance. I think Dowse's message is clear that everyone is treated the same and there are no favourites.

I'm still unsure about some of the "new" summer signings, but time will tell. One thing l am sure of though is that Dowse is good for our club.

One of the highlights for me this season has been the commentaries. I'm not sure of any changes during the close season, but seems like a new commentator, or if the same person, then there has been a big jump forward. The commentary keeps up with all the action throughout the match and I can certainly pick up all the vibes of the match, which was not always the case previously, when there were long periods of silence. I saw a credit on one of the match highlights naming Will Bass, but don't know whether that was a credit for the commentary, the filming, or both. Anyway, a great improvement, and many thanks, cos it almost makes me feel I am at the matches themselves, experiencing the highs and the lows of matches.

As regards the season itself, obviously disappointed to have lost 2 home games already and we seem to have been caught out by some late goals against us. Can't agree with the somebody who made reference to low attendances as the crowds have been at the top end of those published in NLP. I don't think we have really ever started our playing season so early on, so it's not surprising that other summer activities and family holidays have an effect, together with current financial situation, even though I would always like to see bigger crowds rolling up at PP.

Still looking forward positively to the season ahead. Well within touching distance of the playoff places with almost 40 games still to play, rather than blowing up, like we did last season.

Wasn’t a great watch.
But moral boosting win and definitely have some very talented players.
I like dowse, I have faith in him but we will have a lot more tougher games than this one.

I wonder if Webbedfeet will remain unbeaten until Boxing Day? And again on New Years Day, then crumble?

Remain unbeaten until someone comes in for their goal scorers and they sell to service the £16 million debts

Pete, the remark made on the attendances was made by one of the idiots who pop up now and then because they haven't anything better to do.
I like that Dowse comes on and let's us know his feelings and that some of the remarks being made obviously hurt him. He takes things on board.
I think we shouldn't be looking at 10 games in as I firmly believe that it is about around then that maybe Dowse will be getting better performances on the pitch. Okay, maybe we'll be behind the front runners but I'd like to think we'll be hard to beat.
Good luck to him.
