Opening 10-15 were nervous but we took complete control of the game and dominated. The attacking football on show was some of the best I can ever remember, we could've had many more than 2, especially as we should've had 1 maybe 2 penalties for handball.

Can't fault any of the players today, a shame to concede right and the end and give us some nerves going into injury time!

The front 3 were particularly impressive, Rodari had some excellent movement and made good runs, was hoping he could get a goal as I felt he deserved one but wasn't to be. Carruthers was excellent and have no complaints with him winning MOTM but my vote has to go to Pierre.

Onto Tuesday!!

Great result today cannot ask for more than 6 points from 2 games

Really liked the link up play from midfield to strikers feeling more confident about the season now

Pierre mom for me but Samir a close second

We played really well today and the score line flattered Cheshunt , we looked comfortable all match . MOTM could have gone 5 or 6 different players which shows noone had a bad game

And the goals are back 🙂🙂🙂

A well deserved win and some very good football played
Donkey is a great find and could score 30 goals this season. I hope he has a contract
The defence , midfield and forwards all functioned well as units
I liked the fonkeu rodari combo very much
I liked that a number of players were doing the murtough change of direction trick

A simple request of the club , surely the team sheets can be pinned up somewhere in the ground, they hzvd put an advertisement board by the club box so we can’t get to the staff to get a photo of the team sheet

They put the teamsheets online 30 mins before the game at the above link.
The current one is still there now.

Good god I see that Isaac Newton was on the Cheshunt bench , there’s always room for an aged mathematician in a squad

After watching that game today (didn’t get to any of the pre-season games) have to say I’m once again enthused and looking forward to seeing how this season develops.

To pick a MoM out of that team performance is hard! Rodari was busy throughout (not sure he lost a header), the midfield unit was excellent and the back 4 solid. I really like the look of Fankeu and took his two goals today well. I’m giving my vote to Luke Allen for an unsung type of performance - he brought us energy throughout.

It’s great to be back at PP. So many comments about the positivity Dowse has brought to us. Can’t wait for Tuesday nights game now.

We seemed to have controlled and created many chances during the 90 mins ,just need to put a few more away to save any last minute flutters , team is already developing into a Dowse style team, very hard to play against and solid !!!!!
Looking forward to tuesday which will be a tough , physical game , bet Alex Wall would enjoy it !!!!!!!!

Enjoyable game and must have been tough in that heat. Good to win back to back games and hope we can continue on Tuesday. MoM I ended up giving to Samir but I did consider Connor and Pierre and very seriously Sam who did a great job at left back.

Cheshunt started the game well but after about 10-15 minutes we got on top and should have gone in more than 1 nil up at HT with the chances we had.
Second half we pretty much controlled and other than a late consolation for Cheshunt ran out comfortable winners.
Played some good football at times today and we've had a good start to the season but i think we have much tougher tests ahead starting on Tuesday night against Havant.

Still think the squad is a few players light with a 46 game season plus cup matches so hopefully Dowse can get some more in soon.

MOTM between Samir and Pierre with Samir just edging it for me.
