Any team taking Cheshunt as a cert is deluded.
I was quite looking forward to the game as it, not only being the first home game of the season, (normally a done thing with me) and against fresh blood in the Division but also under new management. But unfortunately I won't be traveling up in the heat. So will now wait for Tuesday's game against H&W.
I hope the lads get a win Saturday and good luck to them and hope for you all, it's a good game.

Tough game to call this one, first goal will be vital particularly with both teams opening with wins in the first day. Think it will be a very cagey game but hoping we get the win.

I would go for a narrow 1 - 0 win for DFC with Davide scoring the winner !

The heat’s not for everyone (especially sweaty lardsters like myself), but with Cheshunt playing at their highest ever level it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a couple of hundred come to PP today.
I really hope the bars are well staffed and run to their maximum efficiency. Stick some decent fans on for the staff and sort out ready pours for half-time.
Be interesting to see if AD puts out the same side from last weekend (injury aside), will Fonkeu prove to be a stellar signing home and away? Looking forward to it.

Looking forward to today, hopefully the heat doesn't put too many off and we get a good crowd.

On the subject of the weather are we allowed to bring our own water into the ground?

I expect the official line is that it needs to be in an unbroken-sealed bottle, would be extremely draconian to not allow this at least, given the conditions..

Fonkeu is buzzing by the sound of things. Disappointed to let a late goal in but concentration for 90+ minutes in that heat must be pretty hard.
Well done the lads. :)

Another good result today and another 3pts well done lads, just a shame that ex Dart Dijon Golding scored against us in the 90th minute.

Goldings goal was a bit of a downer but generally I could not be happier wiith the way things are shaping up. I was disappointed when King left but after hearing some of the back story i think it was for the best. After Cheshams crazy first 25 in that heat we looked comfortably a class better. They have a few excellent players like Miles,Re and Beckles Richards but are a good isthmian prem side at best.
Carruthers,Murtagh and coulson were superb and we look to have found a couple of excellent strikers with Pierre getting the headlines at the moment.
I think the biggest difference from last year is how solid we are.We don't look like conceding and attack and defend as a unit.
Next test Havant.
