Pre season friendly - Dartford v Millwall Tue 12 Jul 2022 at 19.45

Were we bad? Unfortunately couldn't make tonight so any reports welcome, hopefully we put in a respectable performance.

No we played really well, just a few of the Dartford youth causing issues!

They won’t learn until either things really kick off or they get the club into trouble.
Millwall are the wrong ones to cause problems with.

To be honest I thought towards the end of last season our lot were getting worse. On their day they create a great atmosphere and really get behind the team but it's soon going to, as you say, get the club in trouble. Someone needs to step in before it's too late.

Couldn't make it this evening but was in the area this afternoon and called in for a drink. I was the only person sitting outside the Champions bar so was chilling out while enjoying the weather.

10 minutes later Alan Dowson came out to join me. He said he saw me on the screen and just came out to say hello.

The man's a class act. I did tell him that when he announced he was looking for a club that if we never had Kingy he would be ideal for this club. Then I said 'Now you're here we've basically parted company with the second best manager at this level and replaced him with the first'.

I know if he's found the time to come out for chat with me then I'm not the only one. It seems like he's only been at the club for 5 minutes but he's clearly working 24/7 to get, not only the players, but everyone associated with this club onboard.

As for tonight's attendance. Not being far short of full capacity isn't half bad for a pre-season midweek friendly.

League clubs are not use to changing ends at half time, no police to be seen until the scuffle in the 2nd half, then they eventually appear only to leg it (for a tea break?) shortly after & it sort of kicked off again??
I actually think the club couldn’t handle a psf full house tonight??
Bar queues ridiculous,
No stewards or police presence to be seen?
All mens toilets overflowing before kick off?
Etc etc !!
Come on DFC sort it out??

We played some good stuff last night with Carruthers standing out but impressed with Odaudu [ ex academy lad] who did not look out of place and indeed made 2 great goal saving challenges , good run out and impressed with the Darts team !!!!
