Nice. Wonder if some effort might be made to preserve the goal lines where goalkeeping warm-ups take place before kick-off.
Does seem a shame that these areas get churned up so intensely.

Hopefully Dowse will not want as much water sprayed onto the pitch as last season !!!

He should be able to Dowse any excessive sprinklers!!

Totally agree , well done Jay we are lucky to have a great guy providing a surface the lads [ and opposition] are delighted to play on and makes for great games of football

We’ve nearly always had good pitches at PP anyway but I honestly think that these last couple of seasons are the best the pitch has ever looked.
This is all down to the hard work & great effort that Jay puts into getting it so good.

Gotta say, this fella really knows his onions and carries his trade out with a passion. John Phipps had a brilliant chat with Jay on the Kent Non-League podcast a few weeks ago following the spate of postponed fixtures; his dedication and knowledge came through in spades, the whole piece was hugely informative and thoroughly entertaining. We are lucky to have people like this at Dartford.
