No doubt there will be a match report to follow. But let's get straight to an issue that's been prevalent for a few seasons now. It's called being cheated which can't be considered as anything else when answers are never forthcoming. Whether it's being cheated out of promotion or league cup finals.
Our ladies fully deserved all three points today. They worked incredibly hard to all but eliminate a decent Brentford side from the title race while putting the London & South East Regional Premier League's title favourites Saltdean United under intense pressure. Yep, that's who they are. The League's nomination to win promotion overseen by their corrupt officials. Or are they just incompetent idiots. Misogynistic dinosaurs who don't take the women's game seriously.
Our ladies fully deserved their 2-1 lead until two minutes before the the final whistle following a lengthy spell of injury time. The referee gave Brentford a debatable corner.
The ball went into the box and a penalty was awarded with no explanation as to why it was given.
Was it a case of patronisation as in it's only a women's football match so he thought he would even up the score as if it was just a friendly?
Or is it something more sinister and no matter what we did today we were never going to win this game. I've suspected for some time there has been a connection between members of Saltdean and the L&SERL.
And with Fulham out of the way this season was the referee's remit to secure the pathway which will see Saltdean become league champions?
So which is it? Is he an idiot or a cheat.
After all he did oversee our shock 1-0 defeat away to Sutton United, also awarding them a penalty.
Either way one thing is for certain. He's not fit for purpose.
Through his actions, deliberate or otherwise, he devastated an entire team today and should never be allowed to officiate in games involving our girls ever again.
Dartford FC deserve better than that. Much better.
