A good home draw, very winnable if we play to our potential.

Slough at York City.

Interesting fact of the day - the last time joint managers of Slough Neil Baker and Jon Underwood made the trip to York City it was as Bracknell Town players in a pre-season friendly on a Friday evening. I made that trip too (Bracknell won 4-3). That was a long/late night, travelled up by coach and straight back again after the game.

I was looking for confirmation of when the Darts v Weymouth game was being played and foolishly I initially went to our official website. I did already think it was the 15th Jan and other web sources have since confirmed that, but it's disappointing that our official site still shows Havant v Darts as our fixture on the 15th. I don't visit the site very often, but whenever I do, it disappoints me that there's always something that's out of date or isn't quite right. You just can't trust it for information. For example, as I post this, as well as the Weymouth game being missing from the fixture list, the "current" league table on the site is so out of date many clubs have played a further 6 matches since it was updated. Why bother producing our own table if we're not going to bother updating it? Surely better to just post a link to a reliable site like the BBC or the Vanarama. We do so many things so well at our club but the website has never been one of them.

Happy New Year.

Like you I have always been disappointed with our official web site, I have mentioned it many times in the past and the daft reply come back, something like, if you think you can do better, why don’t you do it! It’s a major port of call not only for our fans but all others too, first impressions are everything……must do better DFC. Thanks.

Happy New Year everyone.

That's one of the reasons I started "thedarts.eu" back in 2006 as the official site wasn't very good. I have offered in the past to help, but they weren't interested & I have enough to run these days with the forum & my unofficial site.

What's the point of having this page for instance if it's not kept it up to date?

Agree, it is very poor but presumably relies on voluntary maintenance. It appears the club use Twitter as their main source of posting info and updates? But this does not suit everyone.
AllI can say is a big thank you to Rick and all contributors, as here is where I learn almost everything Darts fc.
Happy new year to all

Yeah, this is where I come to first for any DFC news. I dislike Twitter more than I do, Maidstone and Ebbsfleet put together! And the website is a waste of a mouse-click.

If we were in the 80s, (I’m stuck there) we would be building up to this massively with a nailed on crowd of 2000+

How times have changed.

Weymouth have lost their last seven league matches but of course won at Hungerford in the last round. Their forum is very dejected with lots of bickering amongst themselves( i have seen this elsewhere...cant think where..). They seem to see this match a s a chance to kick start their season. If we are the team i know we can be no reason we cant progress to last 16.
