AYLESFORD v DARTFORD South East Regional Premier League Sun 25th Jan. Ko 15:30

This Sunday our ladies are back in action down at the Aylesford Recreation Ground.
To say we need 3 points is an understatement after failing to score in our last two away games against opposition we gained maximum points from last season. Sutton United and Barking 8 goals scored, 2 conceded.
We've got a new look to the squad which has added more pace to the team this season. We're creating plenty of chances but we're missing that fine margin known as the clinical cutting edge infront of goal.
Despite some very good signings this season the one question I kept asking myself was who's going to be getting on the end of those crosses?
Paris Smith has been excellent for us but there is currently no one to share the work load. The truth is we haven't replaced Brionne Fowle, Amy Russ or Emily Vaughan. In our recent games at Sutton and Barking one of them would have got on the end of something. Instead we've ended up with one point out of six against opposition who, with no disrespect, are not viewed as league title contenders.
What's also not helping our cause, and par for the course it seems, is that every season in this league there is always something that gets thrown at us that we didn't see coming. We've lost strikers through serious injury and lengthy suspensions and you wonder what it's going to be next.
Well how about losing a striker through EU bureaucracy?
Yep, that's right. You couldn't make it up.
Yet there's a perfectly simple solution to this.
Me and Lol can hire a car, drive to Ostend, pick up Leen who can have a kip on the back seat concealed under a blanket and it's job done. The authorities will be more interested in the tobacco smuggling vans than us.
