In the last pre-season match before the season begins in earnest next Sunday, Darts' (Tier 5) entertained AFC Greenwich Borough (Tier 6) who were on a high from an exhilerating 11-5 victory over Maidstone Women (Tier 7) last Sunday.

A first-half hat-trick from Darts' leader Paris Smith put the match pretty much out of reach of AFC Greenwich (formerly Welling Utd Women).

3mins - Good work from Amina found Paris in the box with just the goalie to beat, and duly netted 1-0

39 mins - A corner on the right from Abbey played short to Gabby who sent in a great cross and after a succession of headers Paris managed to get on the end of it with a spectacular over-head kick- 2-0

42 mins - Shauni found Amina in space who duly laid it off to Paris who controlled it well before firing strongly past the keeper, 3-0

HT 3-0

On 53 mins, Good work from Ellie down the right sent in a fast ground pass into the box where Shauni struck it first time to finish the scoring for the afternoon. 4-0

AFC Greenwich kept going throughout the match and made for an enjoyable match of good football especially so in the very hot afternoon sunshine.
It was really Paris' 2 goals in the space of 6 minutes before half-time that caused the damage from which the 'Boro' never managed to get back into the game.

All the players used, gaining valuable game time were: Jade Charlton (1st half), Harriet Kwok (2nd half), Abbey Davies, Georgie Davis, Gabby Howell,
Lizzie Adams, Shauni Griffiths, Rochelle Mayne, Ellie Dolby, Paris Smith, Amina Hanif, Mya Lewis-Powell, Xayla-Rae Alberts, Mercedes Bromfield, Aislyn Kelly, Leen Ekwo.

Well done to both sides.

There were a couple of unfortunate post-match issues, which having been raised with the Board, we feel sure will be resolved easily and so improve the pre-match, match, and post-match experience for all teams and supporters here at Princes Park.

An estimated crowd of circa 120, witnessed a strong Dartford Women's last friendly v Greenwich Borough (ex - Welling United), as aptly reported above.
We welcomed the new signings who seemed very abled successors to our successful ones who left. Massive thank you to them indeed and we'll always be grateful to their endeavours, wearing a DFC badge.
May we also wish our stylish expectant mum Charna, all our best wishes, with next month's new addition to hers and to our Dartford family.
As already mentioned, we also hope that there'd not be any further embarrassing and unprepared moments at our Women's home matches.
Organisational systems will surely be more effective, to avoid having to apologise blankly, to our visitors.

Atleast we are fortunate to have members of the family who have class and showed empathy towards the opposition even though it wasn't their fault.
Unlike Fulham who arrogantly stated it wasn't compulsory to provide food at step 5 which was pure bull.
They only became embarrassed when it was pointed out refreshments were available. For their players only!

Small amounts of pressure from a larger proportion of supporters will get even better results.

The saying "The proof of the pudding is in the eating" means that the true value, quality, or success of something can only be judged after it has been experienced, tested, or used. It emphasizes the importance of practical experience and results over initial impressions or promises.

So we shall wait and see.
