I'm thinking there's more to Worthing than we think.

A trip to Worthing is well worth it (one for the teenagers).

Good to see him back in the game. Whether you like him or not he certainly is a character. He will also write and sing the theme tune if you let him.

Are you implying Dartford overspent last season, as I have been told different and stayed in Budget over the season?

As for the loads of players used yes way to many surely it could not have be done without the backing of the board surely

If we did go over budget then surely that comes back to the board

Happy to see SK back in the management seat. will look forward to seeing Gloucester's results. I'm sure it won't be long before they will be going up the table soon. Always a King supporter, but the Darts supporter first. :)

I'm not sure why Brassneck has written that because despite what everyone from other clubs seems to think, I'm sure we didn't go over budget. As you say, no manager can ruin a club by overspending without the board's consent. I'm aware that SK was very demanding and the budget might have become a problem if all his numerous requests had been met, but our board would never allow this to happen. I suspect that constantly having to turn down such requests would have become tiresome for the board and that, coupled by his unwillingness to buy into our club's culture, will have played a significant part in his departure.

On the football front he didn't do a lot wrong, but Steve never really grasped that a community club like ours relies so much on the people who help to keep it going and unfortunately he just seemed to rub far too many people up the wrong way. It's a great shame as it seems that he is a master at the hardest bit of the job (i.e. finding and bringing in great players), but is absolutely hopeless at building relationships and just simply getting on with people. Personally, I wish him all the best at his new club and I hope it works out for them both.

I think it's time we stopped talking about Steve King and moved on.

I agree too, but others keep bringing him up.
I suppose we would all be talking differently if Steve had got it right last season and we were sitting 7th in the National League Premier.
I just feel he is much to good to be talking on the radio or whatever he was doing before he went to Gloucester. ;)

Interesting that Ebbsfleet have played more home league games than us so far this season. Sad to think that they will have to play catch up with many away games on mid-week dates. Less of an issue for a full-time team, but it could work against them.
