Big match for his first game in charge on Saturday. Hemel's only remaining game is away at Taunton. Of Taunton near either Torquay or Weston this week then that match could be a relegation decider..... Dowse has worked his wonders

Re: News from around the National League South
Perhaps my tongue in cheek remark to Brassneck a couple of months ago re Steve King at Deal Town wasn't as daft as it sounded.,
Already there seems to be a lot of doubt on the appointment of Ade on here. The poor guy hasn't wiped his feet as he's come through the door.
In my opinion, the club lately have seemed to have gone for a name not a guy who has got results, albeit in a lower league.. One who's has fresh ideas.
Talking of Deal Town, 1,400 crowd at their game to win the South East Counties League.
Well done Steve King.

It’s equally important to retain the supporters we do have as well as attracting new ones. Any early signs of a further slump and we’ll quickly be down to 600 for home games. I’ll still be one of the 600 (sorry a few of you ) but many will seek their footie pleasure fix elsewhere. That’s the nature of non-league football. Work to be done. Just hope the board have moved along with this millennium and see what’s going on elsewhere.

Martin Tyler says he almost lost his voice after the World cup?
Shame he didn't, we wouldn't have had to put up with his smooth tongue on why we were abysmal throughout the season

Re: News from around the National League South
When I saw the result I thought’ ‘Oh well at least that’s one less journey to the West Country next season’!!
But then reality stepped in & I thought’ Oh fcuk, it’s 8 less journeys to the West Country next season’!!!

What's wrong with East Kent M1, apart from the obvious.

Not that it’s going to affect us, but the battle for survival in the NL will be interesting tomorrow with all games kicking off at 12:15 and one of Woking, Wealdstone, Ebbsfleet, Borehamwood or York City to join beleaguered Oxford City, Dorking and Kidderminster (our empaths).

Wow. Good job I read this. I was gonna watch the Boringwood game on TV and see the story unfold between 3 and 5!DA Mikey wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 8:02 pm Not that it’s going to affect us, but the battle for survival in the NL will be interesting tomorrow with all games kicking off at 12:15 and one of Woking, Wealdstone, Ebbsfleet, Borehamwood or York City to join beleaguered Oxford City, Dorking and Kidderminster (our empaths).

Once in a blue moon I come out with something worth listening to! Didn’t realise Serena Williams was at Borehamwood and therefore in goal against his old club.
Edit - just looked and he’s been there five years Shows what amount of involvement we’ve had at that level recently
