According to Dowse's interview in last weeks Kent On Line we have no chance of getting Jeffers as we wont pay above our maximum which will be too low to land him

ALSO
Not surprised Oxford are winning as they were the best footballing side I saw last season with a couple of exceptional defenders [ incl the guy who was playing Scottish Premier last season] and MCChechnan who is a top quality midfielder , good luck to them and the teams who visit them on their 3G pitch !!!!!!!!

NB I know Fleet won the league by a big margin but they were slaughtered by us over Christmas period and didnt look very good !!!!!!

What odds for Kingy at Eastbourne Borough next season? I know the current regime are happy with Danny Bloor and wouldn't touch King with a barge pole. But the new owners, with plenty of cash to splash might see him as the ideal man for the job? He only lives 10 minutes from the ground too!

Due to imbalance of teams relegated from the National Premier it looks like one of the National South team will transfer to the North , it would have appeared to be between OXford or Bishop Stortford but that problem has been solved with Oxfords win today so is it Bishop Stortford [ just promoted from the Ryman Premier ] who will be be the [ un] lucky recipient , I guess Braintree could also be a contender ?????

Just pleased its NOT us !!!!!

All will be revealed at midday tomorrow when the FA announce the make up of all the divisions in non league football. Needless to say some clubs are not going to be happy.

B Stortford were put in the North for a couple of seasons a few years ago & their Chairman told me it nearly ruined them with all the away travel !!
Not sure they would want to go through all that pullava again?

The fact Fl££y kept missing promotion is a massive failing on their part. They are failures. Their money blown means no one can compete and it’s not a level playing field because someone threw cash at them to get the best players and pay high wages.
Failure of a shite club.

Regarding our results, they completely bottled it. They love it when teams fear them and are intimidated by the overpaid mercenary’s but we wasn’t, our boys said come on then show us what you got coz we’re gonna fight, then they ran away scared and completely bottled it both times.
Quality yes but not an ounce of fight or desire in them.
Pathetic light weights beaten up (metaphorically ) by our boys.

Oxford City a team with a micky mouse ground limited support and a poor 3G pitch which must be like playing football on porridge have succeeded where we failed and gained promotion. I will admit they did look a very decent team and it will be interesting to see if they survive in the National League or do a Maidstone.

Let’s hope the FA see sense and transfer Chelmsford to the North then!

Sounds like it's a good thing we didn't go up then.
If we can't afford Jeffers then who could we afford, if anyone, had we found ourselves in the National League? Relegation would have been confirmed quicker than Maidstone.

We might might as well stay where we are as our attendances continue to dwindle, while the likes of Tonbridge Angels' continue to rise, which they have done by over 100%.
2,300 odd for a play-off semi final wasn't great if you consider nearly 1000 of those were St. Albans fans.

Earlier on in the season 1,200, Tonbridge v the mighty Concord Rangers. Canvey Island must have been deserted with the M25 at a standstill while the highways agency escorted the Concord mini bus over the QE2 Bridge.

And it won't be long before we slide further down the county pecking order as Chatham Town continue going up through the gears. If we take into account our recent exploits in a certain other competition, our form of which has been nothing more than dreadful, I wouldn't want to meet them in the FA Cup next season.
Not that we tend to turn up for it these days anyway.

I’d be absolutely delighted. I hate going to that classless set up.

Would love for it to be Chelmsford!

But everything I've read indicates its going to be Bishops Stortford, maybe Braintree.

12:00 is the publication of the placements so we should know soon

Bet they are thrilled to bits about this , reward{??} for winning the Ryman Premier , trips to the likes of Southport , Hereford, Darlington , Spennymoor Town etc , hope their Chairman has deep pockets to cover travel costs alone and doubtful that players will be in a queue to sign for next season ????
