DARTFORD v THEM! (aka Fulham. ...Once) South East Regional Premier League. Sun 18th May. Ko 1:30 pm
Posted: Thu May 08, 2025 5:26 pm
Live music, bouncy castles, face paints & tattooooos!!!
Ice cream, drinks and food for nearly everyone! Coaches go to David Lloyds please.
And what a special day it will be too. Because it's Rachel's Day! Where there'll be something for everyone so make sure you all arrive early. Football darts, Tin Can Alley, Play Your Cards Right, raffle tickets and much much more.
Not only will it be a celebration of 25 years of DFC Women's football but a very important charity event in aid of breast cancer.
There'll be an auction too, with some very interesting items on offer. Including Gabriella Howell's shirt. But you can't have it until after the game for obvious reasons. It comes with a signed photo too. TonyDart got the bidding off to a flyer. He was soon outbid to his relief as he's got an electric bill to settle. I didn't help matters before that when pointing out he could find himself sitting at home in the dark with no heating, wearing an overcoat with Gabby's shirt underneath!
So, don't forget, there is also a football match taking place where you'll have your chance to say goodbye to our opponents Fulham FC, who will be playing their last game in the London & South East Regional League. Yes, that's right, they're leaving. Hooray!!!!!!!!!
After training Wednesday evening, Sarah Hill told me she was taking up boxing and ex-boxer Shauni Griffiths duly came over to give her some advice. Personally, I think this all down to the build up in preparation to face the Easter Bunnies of West London. (That's another story).
So, coming back to the auction, I've just discovered the WIBF have today donated 11 pairs of boxing gloves along with 11 hockey sticks courtesy of St.Trinians. We thank them both for their support.
As with Gabby's shirt all these items will be signed but not available, also for obvious reasons, until after the final whistle. Whenever that may be. Which could be as early as 1:31 pm before completion of the league champion's guard of honour. If there is one, which could be very doubtful.
