Re: Dartford v Cray Valley PM Sat 2 Nov 2024
I shall be up Saturday for the game. Just to see how we are going to cope with the turmoil in a game against local rivals.
I believe having Fumnaya in the side slightly turns the tide in CVPM's favour. A little disappointed he decided to leave us and go to Tonbridge as we did try and tell the lad he wasn't good enough for them but, in my opinion, would have had a good season with us.
Still, as said, I believe we will have our hands full on Saturday especially with the lad alone.
Hopefully we shall overcome and get a vital three points.

I will go today more in hope than judgement, I went to Cray Valley at the start of the season when we just edged them out. I expect they will raise their game at Princes Park and it will be another close result.

New day, new hope. Said at end of last season a shaky start would be forgivable due to having a new squad, but we must be in the mix by Christmas. August was surprisingly good, but September and October have been rubbish, so it’s not gone to plan.
We sit five points off bottom and ten from top, so the next couple of games could see a return to the business half of the table, or big trouble (or just languishing in a similar position of course). We must register at least four points from the next three games and anything other than a win today is going to make that a tall order.
Fingers crossed!

Cray Valley will be tough opponents and as our recent league form has been abysmal i really don't know what to expect today.
We are 10 games in and the league table doesn't lie so it's time for a big improvement from the players or they will have to be replaced.
Personally i think it will be the latter as imo it's obvious there are weaknesses in key positions so i think it's imperative for Ady he has a few new signings coming in and this is what he should be judged on.
I do worry todays crowd may be the lowest of the season........

Yup, we're definitely Isthmian league material. Let's get used to it.
CV look just as bad. At the moment

A typical 0-0 bore draw, we’ve not even looked close to scoring.
We are only lucky Cray don’t have their shooting boots on yet.

The first 45 was a hard watch. If Cray had their shooting boots on it may be a different story.
One effort on goal for us, not good enough I'm afraid.
Beat me to it 5th.

Could be, should be, at least 0-3. CV so wasteful.
Re: Dartford v Cray Valley PM Sat 2 Nov 2024
Come on you Darts. Seems we only beat teams beginning with C in the league. Hoping so as I'm planning to descend from the Peak District next week for Cheshunt, my first of the season to see how far we've sunk.
Dare not listen to commentary, excellent as it is, as it usually ends in frustration, so back to tidying the garden. Will check later in eternal hope but optimism is hard to maintain from reading comments over the last two months.
