We need investment but the club seem happy just to plod along in this pub league until dare I say it we are relegated again

As far as I know the council own princes park so there is no risk in property developers getting their
Hands on the land.
Ie WATLING STREET

We are.stagnating as a club and sadly I don't see us making the play offs this season because we simply don't have the quality on or off the pitch

We have no divine right to win games but our fortunate draw against Cray says it all for me.
My thoughts as well mate and i made them known at the recent shareholders meeting where i asked this question;-

I feel the “one man one vote” constitution is outdated and hindering the clubs progression and in reality no longer valid as whilst nobody ever thought their shares would be worth anything monetarily, they always believed they had a say in how the club run. This i no longer believe is true or has been for quite a few years as other than a couple of minutes at the AGM i can’t see any real meaningful involvement with the supporters. As far as i can tell we’re not included in any decision making or asked for any real input and whilst the core of directors has remained the same, many others have come and gone who we know very little about or what their roles were or are. So as far as i can see the board make all the decisions, and, in that respect, we are no different to any other club. This is not a criticism of the board as you have worked tirelessly over the years and we appreciate all your hard work, but we don’t have the financial resources other clubs have and is why i feel we have reached the point where we should change the clubs constitution and look for an outside investor to come in and help run the club. So, have the board explored this option, or are they willing to do so?

It got the response i expected from the board but what disappointed me was i speak to lots of people every week and everyone I've spoken to has similar thoughts, but when they had the chance to speak up at the meeting they just sat there and said nothing. I doubt it will make any difference coming on here and having a moan which is why i am so disillusioned with everything atm and just don't have the same connection or feeling for the club. I'm finding it very hard to motivate myself to go to the games and when i get there, the atmosphere around the place is non existent and very downbeat. What really annoys me is we've had four years of managers moaning about the budget or anything else that comes to mind and our board just sits there and says nothing, we are self destructing with this negative crap. I'm so p****d off and don't want another 10,15,20 years of "it's the Dartford way " crap............ Maybe we can still make the play offs but imo we have been in decline for four years now and NEED A CHANGE OF DIRECTION NOW

I like you asked a question at the AGM afterwards I looked on companies house and interestingly the original Article of Association allowed for a maximum of 12 board members two of whom could be elected by the shareholders. Not sure if this was ever changed but in all my attendances at shareholders meetings I can never remember any option for voting for a Director, someone who could represent the shareholders/supporters because I don’t think the current board have any interest in either shareholders or supporters interests.
On the current performances I don’t think I’ll be renewing my Season ticket next season, I’m thoroughly fed up with the dire football and total lack of ambition from the club ( But never mind we can have a disco on the pitch in May  )

When long standing supporters like Parklife and many others are contemplating next year’s season tickets or even bothering to come to games then you know something is seriously wrong at the club. The push back from the board whenever revoking the constitution rears its head to me smacks of they couldn’t care less what the supporters are asking for. What may have been a great idea 30 years ago is not working now and we are being left behind more by forward thinking clubs who welcome investment. If you don’t progress you go backwards and that’s where Dartford FC are going. Sad times indeed

Glad we are all feeling the same about things

The club needs a rocket you know where 🚀

I got more pleasure watching Dartford ladies overcome Millwall ladies today than yesterday but then again that’s not saying alot

BOARD - sort it or we’ll end up with Welling Utd Fc soon

It’s just my opinion, but I think it’s naive to think that noone at the club reads this forum. Are they going to listen, perhaps even reach out to the supporters. I went on the focus group for improving the match day experience, it was farcical.

After the recent patched - up performances, including Saturdays's, can't see us go back to the dizzy heights of circa 2013/14, under our current model, as we're still in the 1990's mode. Past minnows and equals now seem to be positively progressing, even being ahead of us.

It is clear that there are genuine disgruntled supporters and shareholders whose only wishes are for the good, progressive and sustained future of our entire club. Revisiting the club's constitution appears to still be a sticking point, despite what was spelt out at the AGM / Fans' Forum.

Looking around match day experience, it seems that there's been after - thoughts and lesser serious planning, to result in consistent quality, e.g. The two Princes Road end Food Pods have now disappeared and wasted on. Albeit replaced by our own, eventually. Unless it was missed, is the Fans' zone still running, with a decent crowd last Saturday the stadium bar's not ours?
Hopefully, the new plans in the pipeline will stick and be successful for years to come!

The future of DFC is always the Youth of Today!
It was indeed like a Mortuary, on Saturday, with the Yoof not having been managed but discouraged from attending, maybe easier on stewarding? Some may not have an adult / guardian available? Hence, there was no atmosphere, no drum and vocal support and more worryingly less of a potential future, to be tapped into!

Yesterday's Women's win v Millwall Lionesses has been mentioned (Even Brazilian play). Indeed, on a smaller crowd scale presently, that was thoroughly enjoyable.
Indeed, the bar was buzzing afterwards, with the DFC girls u-14 having just won their league on the 3G pitch.
Well done all.

What concerns me is the fact that our main rivals
Used to be Ebbsfleet and Maidstone and to some extent Dover and Tonbridge.
Nowadays our rivals are Cray wanderers and Chatham. No disrespect intended but to me we are standing still whilst apart from Welling we are getting left behind.
We need investment but maybe our board don't want another 1992 disaster when the old club lost the ground at Watling Street..
That cannot happen imo because we don't own Princes park.
As far as I am aware the Council own PP.

I am sorry but Imho Dartford FC are stagnating
and people are starting to vote with their feet.
Will our board listen.
I very much doubt it!

The way I see it regarding the clubs board of directors is that they are in charge and they will do whatever they damn well feel like no matter what the fans or especially the shareholders think.

They seem to have the majority shareholding I believe so it doesn’t matter what anyone else wants or feels about the club and stuff their views and opinions. They know it would be near on impossible for the fans/shareholders to be able to force / implement any changes and get enough votes together to create this and that is why we are in a no win situation.

As already mentioned we need A LOT MORE investment than what we currently have but that’s never going to happen the way things are currently being run by the board.

It’s a very sad state of affairs where Dartford FC have gone from being a very big attractive footballing club with excellent facilities / stadium to a very non attractive non football playing club where facilities and stadium don’t really matter anymore.

We are almost a Sunday park playing team with a quality stadium running like a Kent league club.

Agree with all of this. But even with our current model, nowhere near enough is being done to get the community through the gates and coming back.
This is meant to be a community club and one of the focal points of our town. Utter failure on this.

Rumours that quite a few season ticket holders are thinking about not renewing for 26/27
I don't know if it is just gossip but I ain't getting any younger and standing on the terraces freezing my
**** off watching us struggle against teams that we would have thumped a few years ago is not my idea of entertainment
Nothing will change though until we get some serious investment in......which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY
so we will continue in this pub league or worse
Until further notice.
