Hopefully this is Ady saying enough is enough with the red cards and the silly yellows that turn into reds it simply just has to stop.
I would be making Tennent captain for the next game he is a natural leader, would also be checking my phone book for Josh Hills number to see if he fancies being a very good back up if needed for our centre of defence. Sure he would prefer princess Park over Snodland if he has changed his mind about retiring
Couldn’t agree more, although tennant has 5 yellows and will be suspended Saturday
Think it takes a week for the suspension to kick in(?) In which case it would mean he’s available for the Dulwich game, but not Lewes.
Not 100% sure though, used to be a FA website that confirmed upcoming and current suspensions but it doesn’t work anymore.

Is that right, Michael sent off three times already this season???
Didn't think he'd had played that many games.what with his injury.

Twice I think. It’s easy to add Cray last season. But, three times in an incredibly short space of time. I recall someone saying on here at the start of the season that he would be a red card liability. Two already? How many more!

Yes my earlier stat of 3 reds in 12 starts included Cray Wanders in April, sorry for the confusion!

How can a club captain be absent for up to half of the season, due to injuries and indiscipline? This while letting his team mates, club and supporters down, being a poor role model to youngsters.
Hopefully this is Ady saying enough is enough with the red cards and the silly yellows that turn into reds it simply just has to stop.

Oh dear didn’t realise that , saying that he is probably still one of our most disciplined players as so many of the rest are a lot worse . Feels like getting a red is like a badge of honour to most of our players this season !
If Michael is the teams role model and his behaviours are what they are supposed to be looking up to no wonder so many have ill discipline this year….

Definitely 7 days for a suspension to kick in for Isthmian League clubs. A player triggering a suspension last night will remain available up to and including next Monday evening.
I believe the FA online database listing upcoming and current suspensions now has restricted access, so only club officials with an appropriate login can view it. I don't know why the details have to be kept from everyone else.

The question is do we risk Micheal again Saturday with his history of red cards or do we change the team. Ady and the management need to drop him in my opinion

Yeah. There comes a point where you have to draw a line. Three since spril - two this season? Nah. This needs to stop now.

I wasn't at the game but looking at the video, it looks like Olopade should have been sent off and not Michael. Despite all the negative comments, I think that this was a very good win, especially when you take into account the players missing. We have got some very talented young players and I still believe we can go up through the playoffs.

Jonty, no doubting it was a very good win mate. I think all the strange negativity (after a win) is solely linked with the exasperation of continued red cards. Did you watch Michael on the video? He was wandering around pretty much ‘asking for a fight.’ He should not have been involved. I’m guessing that’s the way he is and we have to be prepared for more risk. I’m all for players ‘putting themselves around a bit’ but ya gotta know where the rev limiter is.

SD, Michael is a walking red card and if the club receives a fine then I think it should come out of his wages or better still, sack him for gross misconduct. Looking at the video again , it appears that Olopade looked a more likely candidate for the red card. However, the referee was in a much better position and let’s face it, they don’t normally get it wrong.
All we can do now is hope Ady’s words in the dressing room has managed to get through to the players.

What makes it even more disappointing for me is something i didn’t notice when i was there. The management team clearly trying to get hold of Michael before things escalated, and he still proceeded to put his hands on a player. Would be massively disappointed if he plays again for us

I’m all for Michael staying. Overall. He’s a lovely bloke but needs reigning in. I think this latest ‘episode’ might be his last ‘warning’. He needs his arse kicking by the team, the management team and 1006 supporters!

Looking at the video I think micheal was a victim of mistaken identity, I genuinely believe he was trying to get the other players away from it all and thr management team was shouting his name out to get him to calm it all down as he is captain and its his job,
I know he has had a few cards this season but I genuinely believe he was very unlucky that night.

Looking at the highlights Micheal isn’t the main culprit from the Darts however he is seen pushing a player in front of the ref and then goes into the player dispute and certainly doesn’t seem to defuse the situation although the oppo players are diving around as they know one of theirs is about to be sent off.

I have no sympathy for Michael in that scenario. It looks like he grabbed no 6’s ear??
The no 9 was going to get sent off - the no 6 has the sense to try and level the numbers and he’s played us: tries to pick up Tennant, getting Olopade to step in (no red card there). Then Michael sees them squaring up and commits an even more obvious red card right in front of the ref!
I hate all this play acting as much as the next person but we need to accept that it’s a part of football. Our players need to be a lot more savvy to the rules like that no 6. The reason we’re getting all these reds is naivety, which imo is more embarrassing than if we were an actual dirty team.
I don’t see any leadership qualities in Michael on the pitch. I’m sure Ady had his reasons but I don’t rate him as a captain or a defender
