Feel free to correct me If im wrong, but I believe our first season finish in the national league made us the highest placed part time team in the country. Some achievement.

It's not so much the decline itself that upsets me, it's the club's passive acceptance of that decline that hurts.

Couldn’t have put it better. It’s really disappointing. I can’t see any signs of change in attitude on the horizon either. I’m even more worried that the eventual move out of this division won’t be the one we all want!

Any interview

Or do they only take place when we win

We have dropped silly points and lost even sillier game's this season. We were expecting better things after last season.
I don't know about lack of ambition within the club and management but after reading a lot of posts from people who were at the game Friday night we then have the interview with Ade that is complete contrary to many??
We can fault the quality within the side, but then we see probably the best defensive display of our season against Chatham when they then go and turn over Folkestone and then Carlisle.
You can't say there's no heart within the club from the players, whether they are poor or summer signings were not up to it.
Admittedly, Eze was a poor signing and Frempah I felt didn't seem to want to be here. But then we have Joe and Jacob who have been exceptional.
Next week we have Aveley and before the end of the month Brentwood. I think January may be the month that will sort out the direction of this season for us.

I don’t think it was our worst performance, but referring to that as “one of the best performances since he’s been at the football club” says it all. I’m going to have to rewatch the highlights but if I remember correctly, we had a fare share of the ball but done a whole lot of nothing with it. Also in the Pennock interview “we did well considering the circumstances”, we had last week off and 20 seconds prior he said we had a full squad but one player missing, what circumstances am I missing then?

He had a better view than any of us if he thought that was good.
Worryingly deluded.

Spot on. It’s almost as if relegation from whatever league doesn’t matter - we’ll just cut our cloth accordingly. If our aim is to just “survive” then we will just survive, until we have a bad season that ends in relegation. Relegation to Isthmian South East? Just cut the budget? Relegation to SCEFL Premier? Just cut the budget. Crowds down to one man and his dog? Cut our cloth. The Board is fixated on just having a club, irrespective of where in the pyramid that is.

How many points have we dropped away from Home when in a leading position this season ? it must be mounting up. This comment that not being Relegated is success, is utter nonsense for a Team of Dartfords status in this League, would say that Play offs should be our lowest Target anything less is Failure for the Season.

I disagree. At this level anything less than automatic promotion is abject failure.

Perhaps it’s not all bad news. From next season, in steps 3 and 4, play off places will be extended to 7th position. No more worrying about grabbing that 5th spot. That should please the board …

Normally I would agree with you Rambo but since our relegation under the Clown's reign, we are finding it harder to get out of this division. We do not have a money man at the helm.
Do we want one is a big debate with directors and fans alike split.
To be honest I think we will be here for a few years yet but have always said it is because of one man that we are here in the first place.
Not anyone else at the club at present.

Oooog. That good news. I’ve been asking for that for ages!!
Two automatic places HAS to be correct. Dunno how it will affect the pyramid though. 🤷‍♂️

It's not 2 automatic, it's the same as the National League

1 Automatic
2nd-7th in playoffs, with 2nd/3rd getting a bye to the semi finals
